Full Job Description
About the Role

Happen Bank is looking for a Head of National Accounts Director - Home Improvement to drive national account growth within our Home Improvement business, with an initial focus on Windows & Doors. In this role, you'll identify, acquire, and expand high-value enterprise relationships across manufacturers, distributors, private equity-backed platforms, multi-location brands, and other large home improvement operators

You'll combine strategic market development with hands-on business development, using market and competitive insights to identify opportunities, build enduring executive relationships, and grow incremental sales volume. You'll also partner closely with our Partnerships team and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen Happen Bank's value proposition and expand our position in priority Home Improvement verticals.

What You'll Do

National Account Growth & Acquisition
  • Define and execute the national account growth strategy for assigned Home Improvement verticals, identifying and prioritizing high-value enterprise opportunities using market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of manufacturers, distributors, private equity-backed platforms, national dealers, multi-location brands, and other strategic prospects through direct and channel partner opportunities
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution development, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and launch
  • Build trusted relationships with executive and operational decision-makers, using a consultative approach to understand financing needs and position Happen Bank as a differentiated solution

Account Expansion & Performance
  • Own and expand strategic National Account relationships, building relationships across multiple levels of the client organization and identifying opportunities to increase utilization, sales volume, product adoption, and long-term partnership value
  • Lead partner training, business reviews, and ongoing performance discussions, ensuring clients receive timely and relevant information and maintaining clear communication throughout the relationship
  • Monitor account performance against contractual terms and commitments, proactively identifying discrepancies and leading actions to address performance gaps while protecting the partner relationship and Happen Bank's business interests
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact when complex partner issues arise, coordinating across internal teams to drive timely resolution and communicate clearly with the client
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline and opportunity management, forecasting, and performance reporting using CRM, analytics, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate

Market & Sales Leadership
  • Develop relationships with relevant industry associations and represent Happen Bank at conferences, trade shows, and other industry events
  • Monitor market and competitive trends and translate insights into recommendations that strengthen Sales and Marketing strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market execution
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in business development discussions, identifying and prioritizing enhancements and opportunities that strengthen Happen Bank's value proposition, revenue growth, and market share
  • Provide strategic leadership and expertise across the broader sales organization, helping teams pursue complex opportunities and improve business development effectiveness

About You

  • 10+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, including experience across inside and outside sales environments
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of National Account sales experience with demonstrated success managing complex enterprise relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through both new business acquisition and organic account expansion
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to identify market opportunities, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and translate insights into action
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience navigating complex enterprise sales cycles, negotiations, and partnership agreements
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior and executive decision-makers
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Comfortable traveling nationally 30-40%, including overnight travel and occasional weekends
  • You understand how to apply AI to complex business development work to improve research, account strategy, analysis, and execution. You use it thoughtfully to unlock better outcomes while maintaining a high bar for data integrity, confidentiality, and where human judgment matters most

Nice to Have
  • Experience in financial services, particularly consumer or retail lending
