About the Job

The Head of LATAM is a leadership role responsible for driving the strategic growth, implementation, and sustainability of IB schools and government, district, and system (GDS) partnerships within a subregion of multiple countries. Reporting to the Regional Director, this Leader will engage in key model community partnership and development activities and simultaneously lead a team designated to the multiple countries to ensure alignment with regional strategies while tailoring initiatives to national contexts.

This role is critical in expanding IB's presence, building high-impact partnerships within the education ecosystem, and aligning IB initiatives with national education transformation goals. The Subregion Leader will lead and inspire functional leads to providing an excellent IB journey to IB schools and stakeholders and building strong IB communities.

Responsibilities

Duties:

Strategic Vision and Leadership
  • Lead the development and execution of sub-region-specific community partnership and development strategies aligned with regional goals.
  • Accountable for the designated countries' community expansion, financial performance, and long-term impact on IB's mission.
  • Monitor market trends and advise the Subregion Head/Regional Director on national opportunities and risks


Growth & Success of IB Communities
  • Drive the expansion of IS-authorized schools and group of schools partnerships within the subregion.
  • Support existing IB communities to ensure high-quality implementation and successful outcomes.


Government & Strategic Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with Ministries of Education, local and regional education authorities and agencies, philanthropic organizations, and industries.
  • Support alignment of IB programs with education reform agendas and transformation goals.

Consultancy Service
  • Create opportunities for the growth and delivery of consultancy services tailored to national needs.
  • Ensure services are culturally relevant and aligned with national priorities.


Qualifications

About You
  • Extensive years of leadership experience in education leadership, policy or curriculum alignment, or international programs management.
  • Master's degree in Business Management, Education, Public Policy, MBA or related field.
  • Experience working with government and education institutions.
  • Familiarity with IB programs and international education systems preferred.
  • Proven track record in growing stakeholder base and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-level partnerships with governments and institutions.
  • Spanish, English proficiency.
