The Team

The Global Strategic Accounts team is responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and health of S&P Dow Jones Indices' relationships with a focused portfolio of the world's largest asset management clients. Leveraging deep industry knowledge to engage at the executive level, the team partners across S&P DJI and the broader S&P Global enterprise to shape and execute client strategy, ensuring revenue and relationship objectives are consistently met.

Responsibilities and Impact

This role calls for a leader who pairs commercial and relationship strengths with genuine strategic and analytical depth, and who leads through partnership and influence across a complex global organization.

  • Lead the strategy, execution, and commercial performance of a focused portfolio of S&P Dow Jones Indices' most significant global asset management relationships, with clear accountability for growth, retention, and relationship health at both the individual account and portfolio level
  • Establish a disciplined internal account planning and review cadence, conducting in-depth strategic reviews of each account alongside portfolio-level reviews that assess performance, opportunity, and risk in the aggregate
  • Build and own a metrics-driven operating model for the team, including account and portfolio scorecards and executive dashboards that track commercial performance, share of wallet, pipeline development, and depth of relationship connectivity across asset classes and regions, and report regularly on portfolio health to S&P DJI and S&P Global senior leadership
  • Lead a consistent rhythm of executive business reviews and joint business planning with each client, and serve as the senior point of escalation for complex or sensitive client matters
  • Develop and implement account strategies that identify expansion opportunities, optimize product penetration, and support long-term client retention across the indices portfolio
  • Own commercial outcomes across the portfolio, leading complex negotiations, renewals, pricing strategy, and multi-year enterprise agreements in partnership with legal, finance, and product colleagues
  • Engage early in each client's product development and launch pipeline, positioning S&P Dow Jones Indices as the partner of choice for new product initiatives
  • Build and maintain C-suite relationships with key strategic accounts, serving as the primary executive sponsor and trusted advisor and deepening senior leadership connectivity between client organizations and the firm
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global strategic accounts team, setting clear goals and performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and client excellence
  • Partner collaboratively with product, sales, marketing, legal, and operations colleagues across S&P DJI, and with enterprise client coverage partners across S&P Global, ensuring the strategic accounts program complements and amplifies the work of regional and functional teams
  • Serve as the voice of the client within the organization, channeling client insight and market feedback into product, service, and strategic planning priorities
  • Bring a structured, forward-looking view of industry trends into account strategy, positioning S&P Dow Jones Indices as the preferred long-term partner for institutional clients globally
