A Snapshot of Your Day The Head of Cores, Parts & Logistics will establish and lead a critical function that supports service growth, operational readiness, and supply chain excellence within the Service Competence Center, NA. The role is responsible for developing and executing strategies for core and parts inventory management, warehouse and logistics operations, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) implementation within the Competence Center. This leader will report to the Head of the Service Competence Center NA and build the organizational structure, processes, and capabilities needed to support a rapidly expanding and increasingly complex service environment. Success in the role requires strong leadership, project execution expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment across the organization.
How You'll Make an Impact - Develop and execute the Competence Center's strategy for cores, parts, and logistics, including exchange core pools, emergency lease units (ELU), outage support, and inventory readiness in close collaboration with the PCCs and the regional execution teams to meet growing service demands for the distributed gas-turbine fleet in NA.
- Establish and optimize inventory management, lifecycle controls, and warehouse operations to ensure material availability, accuracy, cost efficiency, and effective obsolescence management.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing organization, establishing team structures, performance objectives, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee warehousing, logistics, and material management activities, including shipping, receiving, Free-Trade zone (FTZ) operations, outage kitting, and supply chain execution to support customer and operational requirements.
- Lead the implementation of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes within the Competence Center and in close collaboration with the PCCs, driving demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply alignment while monitoring performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Serve as the senior subject matter expert within the Competence Center for cores, parts, and logistics, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- 10 or more years' experience in Service Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management preferably within the energy industry.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing S&OP processes and managing complex service operations, preferably in the energy or industrial service sector.
- Previous experience working with US customers and the US market or operations is required.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing teams, budgets, and strategic planning.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50%, especially during the initial stages of establishing the Competence Center.
About the Team The Distributed Service Competence Center in NA is the service backbone for the rapidly growing distributed fleet. The competence center will oversee and be responsible for regional cores, parts, logistics, overhaul & testing operations, ensuring readiness for major growth in the distributed fleet, increasing service events, and evolving customer expectations.
