Head of Contract Manufacturing SI EA US

We are looking for a Head of Contract Manufacturing. This position will be based in either Wendell NC, Prince George VA or Kenosha WI, depending on candidate's location.

The Head of Contract Manufacturing serves as the primary interface between Siemens' contract manufacturers (CMs) and the internal Siemens organization. This role ensures that external manufacturing partners deliver products that meet Siemens' quality, cost, delivery, and compliance standards, while acting as the central coordination point between the ordering organization and all supporting functions including Quality Management, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance.

This position is responsible for the supervision of multiple contract manufacturing (CM) sites with different CM partners. The incumbent will work as a liaison with each site and each CM partner to develop efficiency strategies to ensure the attainment of business metrics and production goals with attention to budgetary requirements. Develop and manage overall budget and load planning initiatives ensuring the CM plans adequately resource availability including headcount, and capital requirements. Act as liaison for the business, maintaining sound working relationships with internal and external partners.

In this role you will lead a team of specialists and leaders that will oversee the day-to-day operations. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role that requires strong relationship management, operational expertise, and the ability to drive performance across organizational boundaries.

  • Facilitating cross-functional problem-solving when issues span multiple departments
  • Supporting onboarding and qualification of new contract manufacturers, including site assessments and capability/capacity evaluations
  • Collaborating with management and plant personnel to establish shop floor organization and process flow to optimize production capacity using Lean principles
  • Forecasting and analyzing business trends to ensure operations are strategically aligned

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or contract manufacturing leadership roles
  • 5+ years of experience with the following:
    • Working with external manufacturing partners or suppliers
    • Contract negotiation, supplier management, and manufacturing operations
    • Executing Lean Manufacturing principles and operations
    • Full performance management and development of remote team members
    • Understanding business financial data, including P&L and operational performance metrics
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed between 50-75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA or Master's in Engineering/Supply Chain
  • Experience within electrical equipment, industrial manufacturing, or automation industries
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (PMP)
  • Proven track record driving cost savings, quality improvements, and supplier performance
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing global supplier networks or contract manufacturing strategies

The pay range for this position is $145,156 - $248,839 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
