Responsibilities:
  • Architect the Future: Design and lead the development of a highly scalable, secure, and cloud-native client reporting platform, optimized for global reach and mobile-first accessibility.
  • Inspire & Lead: Guide and mentor a world-class engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Drive Technical Strategy: Make critical architectural decisions for a platform that supports data ingestion, report creation, scheduling, and multi-channel distribution.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product managers, designers, data engineers, business analysts, and client-facing teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Build Robust Integrations: Develop seamless integrations with internal systems, third-party data sources, and distribution channels such as APIs, email, SFTP, and S3.
  • Champion AI & Automation: Identify and implement opportunities to embed intelligence and automation throughout the reporting lifecycle, adhering to an AI-first approach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification or experience.
  • Strong expertise in building cloud-native platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP, utilizing modern microservices, serverless, and containerized infrastructures.
  • Proficiency in backend languages and frameworks such as Java and Node.js, alongside modern frontend technologies like Angular and React.
  • Deep understanding of client reporting and the asset management industry, including performance and transaction reporting, portfolio analytics, and performance attribution.
  • Proven experience designing PDF/report generation systems with document templating, custom styling, and rich visualizations.
  • Hands-on experience with charting libraries such as D3.js, Highcharts, or Chart.js.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming data platforms like Kafka or Kinesis.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on quality, security, and reliability, and experience mentoring engineering teams.
  • Expertise in building responsive, mobile-first user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences across devices.
  • A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset for integrating AI capabilities into client-facing platforms.


PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 250,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
