JOB DESCRIPTION: Head Designer

Department: Marketing

Schedule: Full Time

Reports to: VP Marketing

Job Summary

The Head Designer serves as the creative leader for Lowlands Hospitality, responsible for shaping and elevating the visual identity of our restaurants, beverage brands, retail products, and emerging concepts. This role develops and executes creative solutions across all brand touchpoints including digital, social media, advertising, email, merchandise, and in-store experiences, while ensuring consistency, authenticity, and innovation across a growing portfolio of brands. Working collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, and Senior Leadership, the Head Designer brings concepts to life through thoughtful design, compelling storytelling, and trend-forward creative that strengthens guest connection and supports business growth.

Job Duties
  • Lead the creative development and evolution of a multi-brand portfolio spanning restaurants, beverage brands, retail products, and emerging concepts.
  • Partner closely with Senior Leadership to develop and launch new restaurant concepts, menu programs, beverage brands, and guest experiences.
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring consistency while continuously evolving visual identities, and storytelling.
  • Create and oversee design for integrated marketing campaigns including digital, social media, email, graphics, and in-store materials.
  • Collaborate with social media team to develop engaging, platform-specific creative content that drives awareness and guest engagement.
  • Manage and maintain productive relationships with external creative agencies.
  • Provide creative input and design leadership throughout concept development, refinement, and repositioning initiatives across Lowlands Hospitality.
  • Creates engaging work that speaks to the diversity of our guests
  • Supports brand strategies and initiatives
  • Maintains a high level of craft, executing the creative vision of projects along with the marketing team
  • Generates and inspires trend-forward design style and aesthetics
  • Leads planning, authoring and implementing design projects


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience (creative, advertising, hospitality experience preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand building, visual identity, campaign development, and multi-channel creative execution.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple brands while maintaining distinct identities and strategic positioning.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external creative partners.
  • Exceptional typography, layout, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in hospitality, food and beverage, retail, lifestyle, or consumer-facing brands is preferred.
  • Extremely proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro
  • Experience with Google Apps suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Keen eye for visuals, and an ability to understand and collect/create photography that meshes with the Lowlands aesthetic
  • Multi-tasker that thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Collaborative problem-solver who can both provide and take direction
