Position Title: Head Coach, Gainbridge Super League
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay Range: $125,000 - $175,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
The Head Coach is responsible for leading all technical, tactical, and performance aspects of the first team, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, preparation, and player development. This position plays a pivotal role in defining and executing the team's playing philosophy, fostering a competitive culture, and driving the club toward its sporting objectives. The Head Coach works closely with the Sporting Director, technical staff, and performance departments to ensure a fully integrated approach to team and player development, while representing Brooklyn FC's values on and off the field.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have an A level coaching license and preferably a pro license. (USSF, UEFA, etc.).
• Must have 3 years of coaching (assistant) experience at the professional level or 5 years of professional playing experience.
• Must have the ability to speak, motivate and guide both the team and individual.
• Must have a deep understanding of strategies and game models
• Must have used analytics for 3 years or more
• Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Have the ability to build a scouting document on opponent, opponents players, Brooklyn FC players.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and manage all first-team operations, including match preparation, training sessions, and player performance management.
• Establish a clear and consistent playing philosophy that aligns with the club's identity and long-term vision.
• Motivate high-level athletes to perform at their peak while fostering a strong sense of unity, discipline, and professionalism.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to players and staff, promoting a positive, competitive, and respectful team culture.
• Set and communicate clear performance expectations, maintaining accountability and professionalism across the squad.

2. Coaching & Player Development
• Design, implement, and lead all team training sessions and match preparations in accordance with the club's tactical principles.
• Oversee the integration of physical, technical, and tactical training components in collaboration with performance and medical staff.
• Provide individualized feedback and development plans for players to support continuous improvement.
• Utilize performance data and video analysis to evaluate player and team performance and inform training objectives.
• Encourage player education on leadership, professionalism, and lifestyle habits that enhance performance.

3. Match Preparation & Tactical Execution
• Prepare and coach the team for all home, away, and exhibition matches.
• Develop detailed match plans, including tactical systems, set-piece strategies, and opposition analysis.
• Lead matchday operations, including pre-match preparation, halftime adjustments, and post-match review.
• Analyze match performance to identify tactical strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure alignment between tactical objectives and individual player roles.

4. Staff Management & Collaboration
• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-quality technical staff including assistant coaches, goalkeeper coaches, analysts, and performance personnel.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining oversight and alignment across all departments.
• Collaborate closely with the Sporting Director to align squad planning, recruitment strategies, and player development pathways.
• Participate in regular meetings with the management team to review performance, objectives, and long-term planning.
• Create an environment of professional growth and continuous learning within the coaching staff.

5. Player Recruitment & Talent Identification
• Work with the Sporting Director and scouting department to identify and evaluate potential player signings that fit the team's tactical and cultural profile.
• Participate in player assessments, evaluations, and tryouts.
• Support player integration into the team, ensuring smooth adaptation to the club's playing and cultural environment.

6. Club & Community Engagement
• Represent Brooklyn FC with professionalism in all club, media, and community activities.
• Participate in coaching clinics, community events, and public appearances as requested by management.
• Support the coordination of player involvement in youth programs and community outreach initiatives.
• Serve as a positive ambassador for the club's values and mission within the local and broader soccer community.

7. Professionalism & Work Ethic
• Maintain the highest standards of integrity, respect, and confidentiality in all operations.
• Demonstrate flexibility and commitment by being available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by team schedules and travel demands.
• Uphold a professional image and demeanor in all interactions with players, staff, media, and partners.
• Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement within the team and staff.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Sporting Director or club management.

SALARY RANGE
The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience and credentials. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation for this role ranges from $125,000 to $175,000.
