Responsibilities

NORTON CANCER INSTITUTE is recruiting for a board-certified or board eligible head and neck surgical oncologist to join the largest oncology group in Louisville, Kentucky, with over 50% of the market share. Norton Cancer Institute is part of Norton Healthcare and supports a large network of referring providers, including over 500 primary care providers.
Norton Cancer Institute Head & Neck Tumor Program brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialists who are board-certified and fellowship trained. The selected candidate will join a team of two physicians and four advanced practice providers specializing in head and neck tumors. In collaboration with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nutritionists, peech-language pathologists and other specialists, the program sees over 600 surgical cases a year.
Norton Cancer Institute offers a state-of-the-art genomics lab and innovative medical, surgical and radiation therapies. The selected candidate will have access to operating rooms at two locations with da Vinci systems for robotic-assisted surgery, including at Norton Women's & Children's Hospital, designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgeryand Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. Norton Cancer Institute is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
  • Fellowship-trained in head and neck oncology preferred
  • Flap reconstruction surgery training preferred
  • Microvascular reconstruction training preferred
  • Ability to practice head and neck surgical oncology exclusively
