The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our growing faculty. The ideal individual will have a solid technical background, an interest in continued academic and professional growth, and an ability to work well and collegially in an interdisciplinary team.
Position Highlights: - Join a division of 6 head and neck surgeons and a department of 17 full-time physicians, 2 dentists, 15 advanced practice providers, 12 audiologists, and 28 speech-language pathologists
- Division sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and over 1200 new patient visits and performs 50 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per year
- Strong referral base from the surrounding region: Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg
- Growing clinical trial portfolio with sponsored and co-op trials
- Fleet of da Vinci robots in the Penn State Health system, including da Vinci SP
- Collaborative care with neurosurgery, dermatology, and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology
- Participation in medical student, resident, and fellow education
- Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications

Position Requirements: - M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
- BC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowship
- Experience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology
- Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
- Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
