Description
The Hardware Training Device (HTD) Control Account Manager (CAM)is responsible formanaging cost, schedule, technical scope, and performance for assignedsubcontractorHTD control accounts that include both hardware device development and softwaresimulation integration activities.
This midlevelCAM role requires strong earned value management (EVM) experience, solid technical understanding of simulation-based training systems, and effective coordination across internal teams, subcontractors, and government customers including DCMA. The CAM ensures disciplined execution, proactive variance management, and compliance with EVMS requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manageand overseecost, schedule, and technical performance formajorsubcontractorsandassigned control accounts.
- Review subcontractor schedules, budgets, deliverables, integration milestones, and EV data and ensure data meets contractual and EVMS requirements.
- Ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment across hardware and softwaresimulation integration activities.
- Perform earned value measurement (EV),costand schedule variance analysis, and develop corrective action plans when needed.
- MaintainaccurateEstimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) using disciplined EVM practices.
- Develop,maintain, and update Control Account Plans (CAPs), work packages, planning packages, and associated documentation.
- Support integration planning, technical risk identification, and mitigation across hardware/software boundaries.
- Participate in technical reviews related to trainers, simulations, concurrency upgrades, and device readiness events.
- Participate in customer meetings, including DCMA reviews, surveillance activities, and EVM compliance assessments.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Control Account Manager or similar role supporting EVMS-based programs.
- Experience managing subcontractors and analyzing subcontractor EV data.
- Technical background sufficient to understand hardwareandsoftware training devices, simulation systems, and integration workflows.
- Experienceparticipatingin IBRs, DCMA surveillance reviews, or other compliance activities.
- Strong communicationskills for both internal and external/customer-facing interactions.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, project management, or related technical field.
- Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Experience
- Work within DoD, USAF, USN, or other government simulation/training system programs.
- Experience with trainer device development, system integration, or hardware/software concurrency upgrades.
- Familiarity with IMS development or schedule analysis tools.
