Full Job Description
SEL is hiring a Hardware Engineer with a focus in VHDL Register-Transfer Level (RTL) Digital Logic design for our R&D Communications product group. In this role, you will develop and support our Ethernet Security Gateways, Satellite Synchronized Network Clocks, Ethernet Switches, and other communication products.

As a Hardware Engineer in VHDL RTL Digital Logic, a typical day may include the following:
  • Analyzing, designing, and coding VHDL RTL digital logic for FPGA systems.
  • Preparing and maintaining internal RTL design documentation.
  • Conducting moderate to complex peer design reviews.
  • Writing test plans, developing testbenches, creating test stimulus and analyzing verification results to demonstrate robustness.
  • Developing design specifications and preparing system level specifications.
  • Providing and maintaining accurate project plans.
  • Managing and/or leading RTL digital logic projects of moderate complexity.
  • Collaborating with cross-discipline engineers to deliver world-class products for use in critical infrastructure.
  • Working closely with product managers on new product concepts and enhancements.

Pay Range Data

We anticipate filling this position as a Hardware Engineer $97,740 - $144,460 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
