Responsibilities
  • Direct end-to-end EMC strategies by integrating fundamental design principles of Electromagnetic Compatibility into complex early-stage schematics and high-density PCB layouts to ensure global regulatory compliance from product inception.
  • Design and direct complex electrical grounding strategies and drive iterative experimentation to enhance device resilience against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) without compromising system performance or efficiency and industrial design.
  • Design and execute sophisticated system-level experiments to ensure hardware robustness against external electromagnetic noise, ensuring all products achieve a premium, interference-free and reliable user experience.
  • Lead EMC/ESD engineering team to manage critical trade-offs between EMC requirements and SI, Desense, Antenna, mechanical, thermal, and PCB constraints, reducing the need for costly late-stage redesigns. Partner closely with external manufacturers (CM) to support timely production cycles and rigorous quality control, ensuring product reliability and minimizing field return rates due to EMC failures.
  • Utilize expert-level laboratory instrumentation-including TLP, VFTLP, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, and high-speed oscilloscopes-to validate performance and manage ESD and EMC issues. Proactively mitigate electromagnetic interference and establish performance trends by modeling electromagnetic behavior in virtual environments using advanced 3D and 2D.
