Full Job Description
Hard Services Lead/Engineering Services Director will be both a strategic and tactical position in the management of and in accordance with the standards and procedures of JLL. This position will lead multiple Teams associated with the account, including a both Hard Services and small project management. You will be a member of our Account Lead Team forming our strategic service delivery in a nuclear activities manufacturing environment.

Responsible for the planning and operational management, along with effective daily leadership and administration of the Hard Services team's objectives of safely, efficiently, and effectively operating machinery and systems in a cost-effective manner. The position must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the Client's needs, and a commitment to achieving the agreed upon uptime on a Site with a variety of types of buildings. In addition, you will provide small project planning, management, and delivery. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client's assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function. This position will oversee Engineering Lead/Regional Engineering Manager with a team of Chief Engineers for each specialty.

Active and direct daily leadership of the Engineering Team:
  • Responsible for ensuring processes and procedures are appropriately performed at the Sites variety of buildings in accordance with agreed upon practices.
  • Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up-to-date building drawings and single lines as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Federal, State or Local law.
  • Primary responsibility is to provide oversight management of the efficient operations and maintenance of all facility electrical, mechanical, structural, and life safety equipment and systems.
  • Ensure all JLL and client safety procedures are followed and reported.
  • Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of building systems and equipment and ensure building systems are maintained to an industry reliably and efficient state.
  • Foster a culture of proactive behavior by inspecting buildings and all related infrastructure for preventative repairs.
  • Manage and provide oversight operations for maintenance and capital improvements of all Life Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Building systems.
  • Evaluate in conjunction with Reliability Engineer and System Owners the existing preventive maintenance scheduling intervals and work to maintain, update and improve the operational efficiency of the CMMS system.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities within the maintenance program.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationship through due diligence and concise communication which build trust, actions, and results.
  • Lead preparing and executing annual property budgets.
  • Review and approve all appropriate payables through P.O. system and MRO stockroom operations.
  • Lead negotiations for service contracts.
  • Ensure all managed sites are operating according to state and local building codes as well as site specific SOP and guidelines.
  • Monitor and review Work Order metrics and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Review and action all outstanding SLA gaps and drive innovation and process to maximize resources and results.
  • Ensure performance of skills assessments and recommended site engineer training to ensure client compliance and SOW standards.
  • Provide oversight to perform similar duties within their respective geographies.
  • Ensure all escalation, life-safety and emergency procedures are adhered to with proper client notifications as required.
  • Ensure best practices and consistency is administered.
  • Identify the maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures with the Account Director.
  • Comply with Client and JLL policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Ensure periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.

What this job involves:
  • Key member of Account Lead Team at a Site with a variety of buildings and processes
  • Provide experienced advice for Engineering Lead supervising a wide range of unique challenges
  • Nuclear activities environment requires additional training, knowledge, and problem solving within the parameters of a variety of jurisdictions
  • Work closely with the Soft Services Lead and the Integrated Facilities Manager with main responsibility to manage work flows for Corrigo system Work Orders and scope from Client


What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Corrigo Work Orders determine staffing, service offering, and schedule for Chief Engineers. You will collaborate closely with Engineering Lead for any issues, outages, or concerns.
  • Ensure audits of Corrigo Work Orders and other tasking is occurring daily in a variety of service areas.
  • Collaboration with Account Director and Lead Team for staffing, training, and qualifications.
  • Consistent auditing and interaction with the Client and members of the Account Team to ensure all strategic and tactical initiatives are achieved for Hard Services and project management.
  • Constant interaction with JLL and Client resources for new and innovative practices which will reduce labor and/or expenses for Client.
  • Initiate, plan, deliver, and close a variety of small projects.


Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, other related discipline or 10 years of experience in the field as a engineering supervisor.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of applicable working experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, including strong organizational, strategic and interpersonal skills
  • Superior relationship building abilities among a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and change, effectively delegates.
  • Strong financial acumen with background in successfully managing P&L outcomes
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades and building-related systems
  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Familiar with project delivery process and capital planning functions
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required
  • Position requires daily and frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process
  • Must be a citizen of the United States of America, or have appropriate permission and/or Visa to work in the United States of America
  • Must not have a disqualifying criminal event or record
