Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HAM Analyst to support the assessment and improvement of the current Configuration Management Database (CMDB) function. The ideal candidate will have hands-on ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module experience and a strong asset management mindset. This role will advise the global team on improvements, facilitate meetings, answer stakeholder questions, and provide backup support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess the current CMDB function and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to the global team on CMDB and asset management improvements.
• Utilize ServiceNow HAM capabilities to support hardware asset management processes and initiatives.
• Run meetings and facilitate discussions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Answer questions related to HAM, ServiceNow, and asset management processes.
• Serve as backup support for the team lead when needed.
• Present information, recommendations, and findings to upper management and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams to support asset management improvements and operational objectives.
• Apply an asset management mindset when evaluating processes, tools, and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) and the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with ServiceNow HAM within the module, rather than solely ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong understanding of hardware asset management principles and processes.
• Ability to assess existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to answer technical and functional questions and communicate effectively with various audiences.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate with upper management.
• Ability to work independently and provide backup support to team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM).
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Stronger HAM experience is preferred, as this is an area of current team need.
• Candidates with significant SAM experience combined with some HAM experience may also be considered.
