Job Summary
The Guidewire Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting production applications, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and driving functional improvements. The role requires strong experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance/Claims domain, along with expertise in production support, incident and problem management, functional analysis, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Guidewire ClaimCenter production applications and functional improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear and detailed functional requirements.
• Develop User Stories and Gherkin-based Acceptance Criteria.
• Support Production Support, Incident Management, and Problem Management activities.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for application and production issues.
• Support ITSM processes and ensure effective issue resolution.
• Perform and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing activities.
• Work with Guidewire APIs, integrations, application development, and microservices.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support application and business requirements.
• Manage stakeholder communication and drive requirements and issues through resolution.
• Work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of overall IT and/or Business Analyst experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter.
• Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Claims domain experience.
• Hands-on experience with Production Support, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong knowledge of ITSM processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Experience writing User Stories and Gherkin-based Acceptance Criteria.
• Hands-on experience with UAT and functional testing.
• Good understanding of Guidewire APIs, integrations, application development, and microservices.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
• Guidewire Analyst Certification is a plus.
