Responsibilities

  • Install and manage the Martell Ventures Growth Operating System across all portfolio ventures.

  • Define and communicate ideal customer profiles (ICP) and value propositions for each venture in collaboration with founders.
  • Translate founder’s business objectives into structured growth plans with clear targets and expectations.
  • Oversee the performance and progression of each venture towards product-market fit (PMF) and revenue goals.

About the Role

We are hiring a senior growth operator to work directly with founders across our portfolio companies.

Your job is simple to describe but hard to execute:
help companies go from idea to product-market fit and scale revenue fast.

You will install and run a repeatable growth system across multiple ventures, working side by side with founders to improve acquisition, activation, monetization, and retention.

This role is hands-on, high-impact, and requires someone who has already built and scaled companies before.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with founders to define ICP, positioning, pricing, and offers
  • Build and improve funnels across acquisition, activation, and retention
  • Identify what's not working quickly and fix it
  • Drive testing, experimentation, and iteration across all ventures
  • Install a consistent growth system across the portfolio
  • Track performance across companies including revenue, CAC, activation, and retention
  • Push founders to execute faster and at a higher standard
  • Ensure each company is moving toward product-market fit and revenue growth


What You Bring

  • Experience scaling a product from 0 to $5M+ ARR
  • Strong understanding of growth fundamentals including ICP, funnels, pricing, and retention
  • Ability to diagnose growth problems quickly and implement solutions
  • Experience working in startups or fast-growth environments
  • Comfortable working across multiple companies at once
  • High ownership, strong judgment, and bias for action


Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • You establish a growth system that accelerates ventures toward PMF, revenue, and adoption with measurable traction signals and directly increases Enterprise Value across the portfolio.
  • The Martell Ventures Growth OS is installed in early ventures with visible adoption, cadence adherence, and operational clarity while improving studio-wide systems and reporting.
  • Clear sequencing, ICP clarity, and growth plans for every active company.
  • PMF detection, experiments, initial launch velocity, and weekly signal extraction are running as the default operating rhythm leveraging AI-native workflows to automate repeatable tasks.
  • Ensure portfolio companies track to a minimum of 30% month-over-month growth rate.
  • Noticeable improvements in activation, retention, monetization signals, and early funnel performance through integrated Media leverage across venture initiatives.
  • A unified growth operating system running across ventures with experiments, reporting, and prioritization loops executed weekly that is modular and repeatable, building the machine that builds the machine.
  • Portfolio reviews showing increased momentum, higher signal quality, earlier PMF evidence, and faster corrective action when ventures stall while leading talent pipeline selection and onboarding of business and technical leaders for the portfolio.
