Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• SCMP designation or active progress toward designation.
• 7+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Experience supervising unionized employees in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, and supply chain best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Experience in mining, smelting, metals, chemical processing, forestry, or other heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Oversee warehouse, inventory, and materials management operations efficiently.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory and effective management of critical spares.
• Develop annual budget and manage KPIs and operational performance targets.
• Coach and develop warehouse employees for optimal performance.
• Handle labor relations and manage the collective agreement.
• Collaborate across departments to address inventory-related challenges.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in service and cost efficiency.
• Manage on-site material transport, warehousing, receiving, and shipping activities.
