What You’ll Do 

The Group Product Manager, CRM Platforms will own the strategy, vision, roadmap, and delivery of GM Energy’s CRM capabilities, including Salesforce and AI-enabled solutions. This role will manage the end-to-end customer journey within CRM—from sales lead generation, capture, qualification, and opportunity management through order handoff, onboarding, service, support, and customer care.

 The role will define how Salesforce scales with the business, establishing a durable product strategy, operating model, architecture principles, and prioritization framework that support GM Energy’s growth. The Group Product Manager will lead the evolution of Salesforce as a connected platform across Sales, Marketing, Operations, eCommerce, Order Management, and Customer Experience.

 The ideal candidate has enabled multiple business processes on the Salesforce platform, delivered effective working solutions, and translated business needs into scalable products, dashboards, reports, and operating processes. They are customer-centered, data-driven, and always looking for ways to make products and services better, faster, and more user-friendly.

This position reports to the Director, Software Products, GM Energy. 

  • Own and manage the Salesforce CRM product portfolio, including strategy, vision, roadmap, investment priorities, and delivery of capabilities across the end-to-end customer journey. 
  • Lead, mentor, and empower Product Managers to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned to organizational Objectives and Key Results, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high-quality delivery. 
  • Define and continuously evolve the CRM strategy and product vision to scale Salesforce with GM Energy’s growth, business model, customer base, and operating complexity. 
  • Establish a connected CRM experience from sales lead generation and capture through lead management, opportunity progression, order handoff, fulfillment, onboarding, service, support, and customer care. 
  • Develop, lead, and manage the portfolio of work required to deliver Salesforce CRM capabilities and measurable business outcomes. 
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Customer Care leaders to align CRM capabilities with business goals and customer needs. 
  • Drive prioritization and business requirements gathering with technical and functional teams, leveraging agile product development practices. 
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure solutions are delivered with high quality and aligned to product outcomes. 
  • Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities, platform features, integrations, and industry practices; provide a clear point of view across business, customer, and technology considerations. 
  • Coordinate the full CRM product lifecycle, including discovery, planning, design, delivery, release, adoption, measurement, optimization, and retirement. 
  • Maintain a clear and outcome-oriented product roadmap, documenting the rationale, business value, dependencies, and expected customer impact of future investments. 
  • Define release processes and partner with cross-functional teams to launch products, features, and process changes to the business. 
  • Develop and maintain metrics, service-level agreements, health indicators, and continuous-improvement plans for Salesforce environments and CRM capabilities. 
  • Use customer insights, operational data, dashboards, and performance reporting to identify opportunities, measure adoption, and improve business outcomes. 
  • Translate business and technology challenges into scalable CRM solutions that meet current needs while supporting future growth. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI capabilities—including predictive insights, automation, intelligent recommendations, and generative AI—to improve CRM productivity, decision-making, personalization, and customer outcomes. 
  • Manage dependencies and integrations with other digital functions, including  Order Management Systems, eCommerce, Marketing, data platforms, AI services, telelphony, installation providers and customer care technologies. 
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement and business change leaders to develop and execute adoption plans for new capabilities, releases, AI-enabled features, processes, and ways of working. 
  • Champion a customer-centered, data-informed, and responsible approach to CRM strategy, product design, AI adoption, delivery, and execution. 
  • Stay current with CRM platform capabilities, Salesforce product developments, AI and automation trends, CRM best practices, integration patterns, data practices, and emerging technologies. 

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, marketing, technology, or technical field required. 
  • 8–10+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of enterprise platforms or business-critical products. 
  • 6+ years of experience working with Salesforce, CRM platforms, or related customer and sales technologies. 
  • Experience owning the end-to-end CRM customer journey, from lead generation and sales execution through fulfillment, service, support, and customer care. 
  • Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office/Google workspace 
  • Experience defining and executing product strategy, vision, roadmaps, and scaling plans for a CRM or enterprise platform.

  • Experience working with technical and functional teams using agile product development and delivery methodologies. 
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, lead generation, lead management, opportunity management, customer engagement, and related business processes. 
  • Ability to connect business processes, data, integrations, and Salesforce capabilities to establish best practices across multiple departments in an enterprise environment. 
  • Experience partnering with C-level executives and senior management and communicating product strategy and trade-offs with clarity. 
  • Ability to understand business needs, identify opportunities for optimization, and translate complex problems into actionable product plans. 
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, make decisions, build trust, and influence across the organization. 
  • Ability to guide teams across multiple workstreams and deliver results within aggressive timelines. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and executive communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, learning agility, and ability to grasp complex concepts quickly. 
  • Salesforce certification is a plus. 

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.

The salary range for this role is $134,700-$207,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. 

       • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate. This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
