The Group Product Director (GPD), Professional Promotion, CAPLYTA® will lead U.S. healthcare professional (HCP) marketing strategy, customer engagement strategy, and Personal Promotion for the CAPLYTA® brand across approved (major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder) and pipeline indications. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing field-facing brand strategy, customer engagement priorities, messaging, and promotional initiatives that support brand performance and appropriate customer engagement.

The GPD will serve as a key member of the CAPLYTA® Marketing Leadership Team and partner closely with leaders across Non-Personal Promotion, Consumer Marketing, Sales, Market Development, the Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) team, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, Health Care Compliance, Finance, and Global Commercial teams to ensure a coordinated and customer-centric approach to brand execution.

While this role has direct responsibility for Personal Promotion, the GPD will work closely with the teams responsible for Non-Personal Promotion, peer-to-peer programs, professional education, speaker programs, thought leader engagement, congress planning, and other HCP initiatives to align customer strategies, messaging platforms, engagement plans, and measurement approaches across the CAPLYTA® brand.

The role requires strong strategic leadership, disciplined execution, cross-functional influence, financial acumen, and the ability to coach and develop a high-performing team of marketers.
Brand Strategy and Leadership
  • Lead development and execution of the U.S. HCP brand strategy for CAPLYTA® across approved indications.
  • Define customer segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and engagement priorities in support of brand objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities through customer insights, market dynamics, competitive trends, and business performance.
  • Ensure strategic consistency across indications while addressing indication-specific customer needs and opportunities.
  • Contribute to annual business planning, long-range planning, and lifecycle strategy development.
Personal Promotion Leadership
  • Lead Personal Promotion strategy and execution for the CAPLYTA® brand.
  • Oversee development of field-facing promotional strategies, messaging, resources, and engagement plans.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure field readiness, executional excellence, pull-through, and alignment to brand objectives.
  • Translate customer insights and field feedback into actionable strategies that strengthen customer engagement and business performance.
  • Monitor promotional performance and optimize initiatives based on analytics, customer feedback, field insights, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Ensure field teams are equipped with clear, compelling, and compliant resources that support effective customer engagement.
Customer Strategy and Integrated Brand Alignment
  • Champion customer-centric planning informed by market research, analytics, customer insights, and field feedback.
  • Partner closely with Non-Personal Promotion, Consumer Marketing, Market Development, and TLL leaders to support a coordinated and consistent customer experience.
  • Work closely with teams responsible for peer-to-peer programs, professional education, speaker programs, thought leader engagement, congress planning, and other HCP initiatives to ensure alignment with brand strategy and messaging.
  • Drive excellence across core marketing capabilities, including insight generation, segmentation, positioning, message and creative development, customer execution, and impact measurement.
  • Establish performance metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing initiatives to support continuous optimization.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic leader across the CAPLYTA® marketing organization, ensuring alignment of customer strategy, messaging, and business priorities.
  • Partner closely with Market Development and the TLL team to incorporate customer and thought leader insights into brand planning and identify opportunities to strengthen execution.
  • Build strong partnerships with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Health Care Compliance, Finance, and Global Commercial teams.
  • Lead within a matrixed environment and influence strategic decision-making across functions to maximize customer impact and brand performance.
  • Manage the agency-of-record relationship and other agency and vendor partners to deliver high-quality Personal Promotion initiatives on strategy, on time, and within budget.
Team Leadership and Talent Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketers.
  • Foster an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Strengthen marketing capabilities through coaching, development planning, and talent management.
  • Create opportunities for team members to expand leadership skills and broaden commercial expertise.

  • Manage promotional investments and budgets to maximize business impact and return on investment.
  • Demonstrate strong financial literacy and disciplined P&L, cash flow, and OPEX management.
  • Support business reviews by preparing strategic updates, synthesizing performance insights, and ensuring clear follow-up on leadership decisions.
  • Contribute to forecasting, annual operating planning, resource allocation, and business performance evaluations.
  • Translate data and insights into clear recommendations and focused business choices.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Champion innovative commercial approaches and responsible adoption of emerging technologies that enhance customer engagement and business effectiveness.
  • Promote responsible use of AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to accelerate insights, improve content development workflows, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications / Requirements
Education
  • BA/BS required.
  • MBA preferred.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant commercial experience in previous marketing roles and/or sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing HCP marketing and Personal Promotion strategies that drive business results.
  • Experience with omnichannel marketing, digital strategy, and customer engagement strategy.
  • Proven strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into clear choices and focused execution.
  • Customer execution experience and demonstrated ability to partner closely with Sales and other field-facing teams.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of P&L, cash flow, OPEX, budget management, and resource prioritization.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, and storytelling skills for senior and executive audiences.
  • Experience managing agency partners and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, ownership mindset, resourcefulness, and bias for action.
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Field leadership or field-facing experience, including HCP-facing, TLL, District Manager, Account Management, Field Reimbursement Manager, or related customer-facing roles.
  • In-line pharmaceutical marketing experience, including Personal Promotion.
  • Sales and/or sales leadership experience.
  • Business planning and/or product launch experience.
  • Psychiatry, Neuroscience, or CNS therapeutic area experience.
  • Experience working closely with Market Development, TLL, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Sales organizations.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and influence across levels and functions without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, including AI, through exploration, iteration, and responsible application to enhance effectiveness, inform strategic decision-making, and improve execution.


This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days per week, with two days per week working from home.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
