Job Summary
To effectively integrate corporate support, personnel, & programs to meet the objectives of the company and the group. Responsible for the development, maintenance and enforcement of the Safety Policy & procedures as required for the group. Responsible to interface and support the Project management & Safety teams on group projects and to provide safety leadership as required to these teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Aid with development of the safety training aspects of our FLS and craft training programs.
2. Aid with preparation of project specific Safety Management Plans.
3. Aid with project set up and interface with local clinics to make sure there is alignment with injury management philosophy and awareness of light duty programs and injury management.
4. Assist with implementation of behavioral based safety programs.
5. Compile and maintain divisional safety records.
6. Develop and maintain safety metrics report for status of site inspections, non-conformance, etc.
7. Help interface with owner and key partners regarding coordination of safety programs.
8. Participates in activities to support the company and group's safety related strategic planning efforts.
9. Performs on site audits to ensure compliance with company, group, and project safety requirements.
10. Provide leadership and Management of OSHA and MSHA related interface as needed for the projects.
11. Provide leadership with management of Subcontractor and JV safety programs.
12. Review RFQ packages for safety related items that would add extra costs to a proposal, and prepare a summary of these items for sales engineers and/or estimators.
13. To provide leadership and follow-through regarding Injury/ case management for the division.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. 15 years in a leadership position managing self-perform safety programs in construction.
2. Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
3. CHST required, CSP preferred.
4. OSHA, MSHA, First-aid/ CPR-AED instructor capabilities required, desired: NCCER Safety Trainer.
5. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
2. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
3. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
4. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
5. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
6. Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
7. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
8. Will interact with people frequently during a shift/workday.
9. Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
10. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
11. Will work various shifts, including swing, night and weekend.
