Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs developing communicating building support for and implementing business strategies plans and practices analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans determining and supporting resource requirements evaluating operational processes measuring outcomes to ensure desired results identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities promoting a customer environment and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps recruiting selecting and developing talent supporting mentorship workforce development and succession planning and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices developing consequences for violations or noncompliance and supporting the Open Door Policy
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives engaging key stakeholders in the development execution and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives and supporting associate efforts in these areas
Serves as a tax expert and representative to tax and nontax organizations by speaking at conferences and symposia establishing professional relationships with tax coalition members government officials and company officials providing tax input for new business opportunities and changes to existing businesses and providing guidance to senior management for optimizing financial results
Directs strategies to manage tax risks by providing subject matter expertise translating taxation business accounting and financial expertise into company tax saving strategies managing tax strategies through audits and appeals negotiations reporting and litigation directing alternative deal structure creation to reduce tax burdens overseeing research and interpretation of state legislation changes collaborating to define and implement financial system enhancements negotiating with state revenue departments to resolve tax filing issues and developing and overseeing alternative deal structures to reduce tax burdens
Manages the annual tax filing by analyzing and presenting taxrelated reports to senior management reviewing evaluating and determining impact of new and pending tax legislation on company preparing public disclosures for financial statements reviewing effective tax rate documentation and providing it to auditors presenting results to senior management and ensuring compliance with financial accounting standards
Oversees compliance process for assigned area by reviewing existing SarbanesOxley documentation and controls ensuring consistency with key process changes meeting with internal audit and external auditors to discuss tax compliance processes ensuring internal control processes are in place and uptodate ensuring process control implementation and operation serving as a liaison between the company and government agencies ensuring commitments established during audits are met ensuring compliance with agency administrative procedures guiding the implementation of processes to ensure the company receives required assessment scores assisting in implementing tax policy initiatives and overseeing complex audit and negotiation strategies by advocating for the company in tax return audits appeals mediations and litigation when necessary
Directs domestic tax policy and legislative support by monitoring and identifying material state and local tax legislation analyzing the potential impact of legislation and communicating to senior management developing policies with respect to new legislation working with media to proactively engage in legislative process overseeing execution of tax related training initiatives and implementing innovation across the tax areas
Oversees efficiencies in tax related areas by partnering with and engaging leadership to define project scope and objectives interpreting regulations and best practices to apply to transactions developing strategies and innovative solutions to improve processes providing analyses and business implications of proposed solutions ensuring budget and timeline expectations are achieved

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $370,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
