Full Job Description

Application close date:

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a passionate and highly skilled team of engineers, you will play a key role in developing software to autonomously load propellants and launch Blue Origin’s pioneering New Glenn rocket. You will translate your understanding of P&ID drawings into robust Simulink control algorithms, converting cutting-edge concepts into executable, flight-ready code. Our team develops safety-critical software, so experience with verification and validation is highly valued.

You will collaborate closely with the simulation team to verify control models and work in tandem with the launch team to validate your software in real-world scenarios.

If you thrive on challenge, want to make history, and enjoy solving the toughest engineering problems in aerospace, we encourage you to apply. Join us in launching the next era of human spaceflight!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a configuration managed development environment
  • Knowledge of common programming languages such as C/C++, Python
  • Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, including the ability to integrate AI-driven solutions into engineering workflows
  • Willingness to learn and work with AI model integration, deployment, and optimization
