Full Job Description
Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity
The Sr. Specialist, Graphic Design translates creative direction into beautifully executed design across Ally's in-house work. Working from the tone and vision the Creative Director sets, this is a maker who brings a keen eye for design, layout, balance, and weight to resolving concepts into polished, on-brand work.
The role is equal parts translator and executor. You take your creative direction from the Creative Director and carry that direction through to finished design that holds to a high standard. You'll also help govern and guide the design practices and principles that keep the team's work consistent and well-crafted. And you'll move fluidly across formats and channels - brand, campaign, digital, print, and presentation - bringing the same level of craft to each.
The Work Itself
The Work Itself
  • Translate creative direction and brand vision from the Creative Director into resolved, high-craft design, collaborating closely with the Art Director as a peer along the way.
  • Execute high-impact design across a broad range of formats and channels - brand, campaign, digital, print, and executive-level presentation work.
  • Bring a keen eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, balance, and visual weight to everything you make.
  • Help govern and guide the design practices and principles that keep Ally's work consistent and well-crafted across every touchpoint.
  • Apply and steward brand and design standards across the team's output, keeping quality high and the look cohesive.
  • Build reusable design assets, templates, and systems that protect quality and help the team move faster without flattening the craft.
  • Bring rigor to the details - final polish, typographic precision, print and pixel accuracy, and clean, well-built files.
  • Support strong design practice across the team, sharing craft expertise and helping keep principles consistent.
  • Stay current on design tools, trends, and techniques - including AI-assisted design - and bring what's genuinely worth adopting to the team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, in-house or agency, at a senior level.
  • A standout portfolio that shows both range and a clear mastery of the fundamentals - typography, layout, composition, color, balance, and visual weight.
  • Demonstrated breadth across mediums: brand, digital, print, campaign, and presentation design.
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and fluency in Figma.
  • An exacting eye for detail, consistency, and brand integrity.
  • The ability to take creative direction and run with it, and to give and receive feedback well.
  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Motion and animation fundamentals, or comfort designing for motion (After Effects).
  • Experience applying or maintaining brand systems and design systems at scale.
  • A strong hand at executive and presentation design.
  • A photography or art-direction sensibility that informs your design eye.
  • Familiarity with current AI-assisted design tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
