Job Responsibilities

  • SCDC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented grants professional to coordinate and support the agency's grant development and grant management activities.
  • This position researches and identifies federal, state, and local funding opportunities that align with SCDC's missions, programs and operational needs and develops comprehensive grant proposals, including narratives, budgets and supporting documentation, to secure funding.
  • The position collaborates with SCDC leadership, divisions, institutions, project directors, FIN.
  • Accounting, general counsel, procurement, and external partners to assess funding needs, develop competitive proposals, prepare grant budgets, and ensure timely submission of applications.
  • The position also provides ongoing technical assistance and support to project directors throughout the grant lifecycle, including expenditure tracking, procurement, budget monitoring, reporting amendments, and closeout activities.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or the social sciences and experience in contracts and grant administration activities.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and ten (10) years experience in business administration or the social sciences and experience in contracts and grant administration activities.
Preferred Qualifications

Prefer five (5) years proven experience in formulating, writing, editing and submitting grant applications.
