Full Job Description
Zayo is seeking an experienced Grants Project Manager responsible for ensuring consistent, accurate and timely grant management during the preference period. This Grants Project Manager will interface with the Government Stimulus Program during the post-award phase from award to close-out. Applicants are expected to have experience in State, Local and/or Federal grant management with preference in the telecommunications and/or construction field.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the lifecycle of allocated grants, from award through audit to closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant terms, conditions, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate and process change requests, ensuring alignment with grant guidelines.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project milestones, assess impacts on project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Monitor and report on grant budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for grant funding utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to workforce and procurement regulations.
  • Monitor project activities to confirm compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to achieve grant objectives.
  • Facilitate communication and reporting among project teams and funding agencies.
  • Identify potential risks to grant objectives and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience managing state or federal grants, particularly in broadband infrastructure or related fields.
  • Familiarity with BEAD, NTIA Middle Mile, Treasury Capital Funds and other relevant grant programs created under the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
  • Ability to understand budget management, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across numerous technical and financial teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Vendor and subcontractor management experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Project management certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM software and financial systems including Salesforce and Oracle Fusion, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications or broadband infrastructure development.
  • Knowledge of construction infrastructure development.


Estimated base salary range: $87,600 - $134,700 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
