JOB TITLE: Grants Manager
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs financial analysis that facilitates decision making and supports effective program
management. - Financial tracking and monitoring of all grant purchased assets.
- Financial tracking and monitoring of grant constructed assets and development projects.
- Monitoring of compliance requirements including procurement and sub-recipient monitoring
- Review and monitor policies and procedures for compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Prepares reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for all grant/contract reporting.
- Responsible for internal financial status reporting to program managers.
- Adheres to compliance and audit reporting requirements
- Prepare summary of grants and contracts for audit
- Prepares budgets and projections for grants and contracts
- Participate in grant implementation meetings
- Identifies and performs re-classes and journal entries on transactions if they are needed on grant cost
centers - Collaborates with other departments to resolve all issues related to grants
- Keep abreast of current practice relating to financial and grants management.
- May perform other duties and assignments, as needs require.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree with focus in business administration or accounting preferred and five or
more years of experience that includes experience in grants/contracts: or an equivalent combination of
training and experience.
Experience: 3 or more years' experience in mid-market organization, preferably in the not-for-profit
healthcare industry. Preferred experience includes working with confidential information; coordinating or
preparing grants/contracts; experience with federal contracting and grant compliance and conflict of
interest requirements; experience working with subcontractors; and experience with and drafting/editing
policies, procedures, reports, and proposals. Experience using a variety of computer software programs
(MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe, MS Access) to support work tasks.
Skills needed:- Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial report writers
- Well-developed financial analysis capabilities
- Knowledge of GAAP and current best accounting practices
- Knowledge of Connecticut State Cost Standards and/or federal Uniform grant guidance
standards. - Excellent personal computer skills, knowledge of spreadsheets and data base application
software. Advance Excel skills. - Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a high-level of organization and prioritization combined
with strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to problem-solve and work independently. - Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with project management tools to create and track timelines
- Proven commitment to continuous quality improvement, and proven ability to learn new
skills/techniques quickly and integrate them into highly polished deliverables. Outgoing, friendly,
and professional with an organized approach.
COMPENSATION*: $71,463 min-$107,194 max
*Actual rates within this range are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
