Full Job Description
Title: Grants Coordinator

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations

Work Year: Year round/12 month employee

Position Summary The Grants Coordinator serves as the district's manager of grants and is responsible for the coordination of external funds including but not limited to Title 1 and all other state and federal entitlement and competitive grant opportunities. The Grants Coordinator will demonstrate proficient acknowledgement in procurement and compliance regulations with respect to external funding through public and private grants. The Grants Coordinator collaborates with district level staff to monitor the financial aspects within the grant activities to ensure these are being implemented with fidelity and meet all financial deadlines.

Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations

Essential Functions of the Position Monitor updated availability and share information with district leaders regarding the availability of state, federal, private and foundation grant funding sources. Review all federal legislation, projects, and programs for the possibilities and opportunities they offer for education grants, entitlements and allocations relevant to the needs of the district. Assist grant writers with the narratives and budgetary portions of grant applications to ensure that they reflect district- wide curriculum and instructional goals. Submit completed state, federal, private and foundation grants. Coordinate all grant activities to ensure that they enhance and support each other to the fullest extent possible. Works closely with business administrators to conduct quality assurance, internal review, and program evaluation related to grant funded projects and district funded initiatives. Coordinates and supports the outreach to and consultation with private schools to fulfill the requirements of federal grant proportionate share requirements. Works closely with the Assistant Superintendent for Special Education and Student Services and provides support with management of Special Education grants. Attend all DESE and other meetings to remain current with changes in regulations and best practices. Act as lead for McKinney-Vento job responsibilities for the District. Assists the Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendents to create a cohesive grant development plan that secures funding in support of the district's Strategic Plan. Performs other responsibilities as the Superintendent of Schools may from time to time assign. Required Education, Skills and Experience A Bachelor's Degree in Education or in a related content area Extensive experience in education-related grant writing Exceptional writing, speaking and presentation skills Strong collaboration abilities Exceptional organizational skills that can manage many projects at once At least five (5) years' experience in the field of public education or grant based programing

Other Requirements and Working Conditions Status-Exempt
