The Mission Aligned GPS Systems (MAGS) group within the Mission Critical Products (MCP) organization is currently hiring a Program Manager to join our San Diego, CA-based Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to lead the successful fielding and sustainment of the GPNTS product across a range of customers.

GPNTS is the next generation real time GPS-based PNT data fusion and distribution system for the U.S. Navy surface platforms as well as the USCG and International Navy platforms. GPNTS integrates signals from navigation-related sensors and provides users with a reliable and accurate blended navigation solution. GPNTS is currently being fielded as a forward-fit and back-fit replacement to the legacy NAVSSI system.

The successful candidate will lead the execution of the ongoing GPNTS Software Support Contract, GPNTS USCG Modification Contract, as well as several small adjacent market contracts within the Maritime PNT portfolio.

In addition, you will be expected to set strategy, vision and direction for successful execution focused on enabling customer success, product integrity, and on-time delivery to enable near, mid, and long-term business growth.

This is an ONSITE role located at our San Diego, CA location.

What You Will Do
  • Work as the Program Manager, directly with the Maritime PNT Program Manager, ensuring execution to contract requirements, including managing budgets, schedules, and technical performance metrics.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the customer program office to ensure alignment with customer execution priorities
  • Serve as the central hub to enable the Chief Engineer, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Agile development organization, and the functional team to execute effectively
  • Establish and manage financial baselines, ensuring alignment with program/portfolio objectives
  • Support bids and proposals as required to execute the program and portfolio growth strategies.
  • May travel up to 20%


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and/or cross-functional teams
  • Program management skills including managing cost and schedule, Earned Value Management (EVMS), risk & opportunity, bids, proposals, and/or business strategy
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Raytheon Program Management Level 5 Certification or ability to obtain in one year
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to audience
  • Experience and Knowledge with U.S Navy products and customers specifically Maritime PNT products.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
