Overview

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Public Sector Account Manager!

Lead strategic growth within the Public Sector by managing government accounts, executing contract-driven sales strategies, and ensuring compliance across cooperative agreements and procurement vehicles. Act as a trusted advisor to agencies while driving acquisition, expansion, and long-term retention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow public sector accounts using established contract vehicles and cooperative agreements
  • Develop and execute territory strategies to win new government business and expand existing accounts
  • Build relationships with agency stakeholders, procurement officials, and decision-makers
  • Partner with sales leadership and contract teams to align on bid strategy, pricing, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to public sector procurement regulations, contract terms, and reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems
  • Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and customer presentations
  • Drive account retention through ongoing engagement and contract value optimization
  • Monitor legislative changes, competitive landscape, and government market trends


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in government sales, federal/state/local contracting, or public sector account management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with RFPs, bids, and contract negotiations
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and pipeline forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
