Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Government Financial Functional Analyst to work for our company.
Summary
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government PUBLIC TRUST / SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • The Government Financial Functional Analyst will support federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and functional system support activities for government IT and financial systems.
  • Work closely with government stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and project teams to analyze financial processes, support budget formulation and execution, document functional requirements, and ensure system functionality aligns with financial management needs.
  • Support financial calculations, reconciliations, reporting, data analysis, and documentation related to government finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial operations.
  • Support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials or similar federal financial systems, including assisting with requirements, testing, issue resolution, reporting, and user support.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation such as functional requirements, business process flows, test cases, financial reports, standard operating procedures, user guides, and status updates.
  • Support coordination between functional users and technical teams to identify system issues, validate financial data, and improve financial business processes.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government PUBLIC TRUST / SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience supporting government finance, financial management, budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, or financial systems.
  • Must have experience with government financial processes, including budget formulation, budget execution, financial calculations, reconciliations, reporting, accounting support, or financial data analysis.
  • Must have experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials, Oracle Federal Financials, or a similar federal financial management system.
  • Must have experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, system, or financial requirements.
  • Must have experience creating or reviewing test cases, supporting functional testing, validating financial data, and documenting test results.
  • Must have experience analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, researching variances, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Must have experience preparing documentation such as functional requirements, business process flows, financial reports, user guides, standard operating procedures, meeting notes, or status updates.
  • Must be able to work with functional and technical teams to support system enhancements, issue resolution, data validation, and financial process improvements.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferences
  • Experience supporting federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, or financial systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS Financials, Oracle Federal Financials, Momentum, SAP, PeopleSoft, CGI Advantage, or similar government financial systems is preferred.
  • Experience supporting budget formulation, budget execution, spend plans, funds control, accounting transactions, reconciliations, or financial reporting is preferred.
  • Experience supporting system modernization, financial system implementation, user acceptance testing, or functional testing is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel reporting, dashboards, or financial data visualization is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal government IT or financial management projects is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar project tracking/documentation tools is preferred.
