Soldier Hollow Golf Course is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly skilled Golf Course Superintendent to lead the agronomic and maintenance operations of our award-winning 36-hole golf facility nestled in the stunning Wasatch Mountains.
This is an exciting opportunity for a turfgrass professional who is passionate about golf, committed to excellence, and eager to lead a team in maintaining exceptional playing conditions at one of Utah's premier golf destinations.

Principal Duties:
  • Direct all agronomic and maintenance operations for Soldier Hollow's 36-hole golf facility.
  • Lead and develop the golf course maintenance team while managing staffing, scheduling, safety, and performance.
  • Maintain exceptional playing conditions through effective turf, irrigation, fertility, pest, and resource management.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, equipment, course projects, and environmentally responsible practice.

Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of golf course maintenance or turf management experience in a supervisory role.
  • Degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of golf operations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to hire and manage staff
  • Experience with golf course irrigation

  • Willingness to problem solve
  • Understanding of State policy and procedures, including financial policy
  • Associates degree, bachelor's degree and/or equal years of experience
  • Knowledge of turfgrass agronomy and golf course maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of irrigation, drainage, fertility, pest control, and water management.
  • Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of pesticide application, environmental regulations, and workplace safety.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, inventory control, and golf course operations

Special Working Conditions:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to withstand extended periods of outdoor temperatures of hot or cold.
  • Ability to scale stairs to and from the cart barn below the clubhouse
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs overhead

Certifications/Licenses:
  • Have or the ability to obtain a Class A GCSAA certification within three golf seasons
  • Have or the ability to obtain a Utah driver's license within 60 days
  • Have 5 years or more of Head Golf Course Superintendent Experience
  • Multi-Facility experience a plus.
  • Obtain a Certified Utah Pesticide License within 6 months of start date
  • A valid driver license.
  • Pass the background investigation
