Full Job Description
The Opportunity

As GM of the HealthVerity Media business unit, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy, commercialization, and P&L of our media and consumer business - bringing the full force of HealthVerity's media offerings to market, including real-world data, data products (audiences, measurement), analytics, and custom solutions. You will own our media offerings across all channels and customer segments, including Agencies, Advertising Technology, Life Sciences, Government, and other partners.

You will directly lead the media business development team, oversee dedicated media analytics and product development resources (directly or indirectly, depending on structure), and partner with shared analytics and delivery teams across HealthVerity. You will bring a deep understanding of the consumer and media data and analytics space - particularly around go-to-market strategy, customer needs, and the commercialization of data, analytics, and technology solutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.

What You'll Do
  • Own the P&L and financial performance of the media business unit, balancing investment and operating costs with long-term revenue growth.
  • Develop and lead the integrated strategy across product, analytics, and commercial to drive significant growth in the media and consumer business.
  • Set the multi-year vision for the media business unit - identifying emerging market opportunities, anticipating shifts in customer needs, and bringing an innovative mindset to how HealthVerity defines, delivers, and differentiates in the media space.
  • Accelerate top-line revenue growth through a winning product strategy, a robust partner ecosystem, and a powerful go-to-market rhythm that leverages the full breadth of HealthVerity's offerings and capabilities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing media business development team - recruiting, leading, motivating, and retaining experienced business development professionals who can scale with the business. Partner with and influence shared product, analytics, and delivery resources to drive the broader business unit's success.
  • Establish and drive team and individual business development targets that reflect the business unit's objectives and accountability for results.
  • Partner with the Product leader to co-shape product strategy and prioritization for the business unit - ensuring our offerings remain aligned to commercial goals and differentiated in the market.
  • Generate new product and services revenue from pharmaceutical manufacturers - demonstrating our capabilities, negotiating contracts, and closing strategic sales.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on media healthcare data and technology, and act as the primary point of contact between HealthVerity and your customers.
  • Cross-pollinate wins across HealthVerity by demonstrating the value of our broader real-world data offerings beyond traditional media measurement and audience products.

What You'll Bring

Required Experience
  • A minimum of 10+ years of external-facing experience in roles requiring high-level strategic relationships - including consulting, corporate development, business development, or enterprise sales - within the healthcare, life sciences, or biopharmaceutical services ecosystem.
  • A proven track record of developing and sustaining strong client relationships that drive meaningful, repeatable revenue growth - including across pharmaceutical manufacturers, advertising agencies, and broader media partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, articulate, and own a business unit P&L - including the strategic planning, operational discipline, and cost/investment tradeoffs required to drive long-term revenue growth.
  • A true player/coach mindset - managing a team while owning a pipeline of clients, vetting opportunities, and bringing ingenuity to deals and relationships.
  • Demonstrated success building and owning product strategy - scoping customer needs, evaluating competing offerings, and defining the company's right-to-win in a given market.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders, clients, and boards.
  • A track record of owning the full client relationship - from lead generation through implementation and ongoing partnership.

Highly Preferred
  • Deep familiarity with data and analytics related to digital engagement, including relevant data assets and applications such as media measurement, campaign measurement, and audience activation.
  • Direct experience leading business development, analytics, product, or consulting teams serving pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biopharmaceutical clients.
  • Experience working with real-world data and its applications across multiple industries and use cases - not limited to media - including life sciences, consulting, and adjacent verticals.
  • A passion for working in an innovative, fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment where ambiguity is the norm and curiosity is rewarded.
  • The ability to operate effectively in white-space, concept-driven situations - defining strategy, building from scratch, and creating clarity where none exists.

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $225,000 - 300,000 + incentive compensation plan.
