Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Mechanical skills for product identification and deficiency detection essential.
• Preferred experience in warranty or technical service roles.
• Background in drivetrain components advantageous.
• Problem-solving capability with 8D, 5 Why, and Red-X methods necessary.
• A.S.Q. Certified Quality Engineer status preferred.
• Competence in quality statistics and process controls essential.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ideally Minitab required.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection and testing procedures for returned components to find root causes.
• Analyze warranty performance data from customer websites and performance tracking tools.
• Conduct weekly warranty review meetings with Engineering, Sales, and Plant teams to ensure corrective actions are on track.
• Manage communications regarding warranties within Dana and with suppliers and the assigned OE using the 8D process.
• Record warranty costs accurately for forecasting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance with accounting.
• Inspect prototype tested assemblies and report findings to the engineering team.
• Create a roadmap for Shainin Red-X problem-solving training and certification for Junior engineers.
