  • Execute stock seed planning to meet production needs
  • Drive availability by ensuring timely seed movement between production and processing
  • Own Operational S&OP for regional and global availability
  • Conduct monthly availability follow-ups and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Monitor usability data to keep information current
  • Chair the Operational Supply Review Meeting to assess global availability and financial impacts
  • Manage global inventory in line with supply chain strategies and regulations
  • Set and manage global seed supply and processing priorities
  • Monitor Global Trial Flow execution to ensure lead times are met
  • Collaborate with Regional Supply Planners
  • Complete administrative tasks related to drop-shipments and Processing POs.

Parma, ID (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Global Supply Planner to join our Agricultural Solutions team for our BASF | Nunhems Vegetable Seed business in Parma, ID.

The Global Supply Planner is responsible for managing the availability to match the supply versus demand on short term, managing the global inventory to achieve our inventory targets, supporting the global production planning process, and coaching and supporting the Regional Supply Planners. As a Global Supply Planner, you operate at the center of the action, maintaining a clear overview of key parameters such as inventory, forecasts, and ongoing productions. You take a pro-active approach in communicating with stakeholders, enabling you to effectively manage and ensure the Global availability of the crops within your responsibility. Next to managing short-term availability, you play a crucial role in the mid- to long-term, by ensuring that all regions receive seeds on time, enabling them to deliver the right end-products to our customers.

As a Global Supply Planner, you create chemistry by...

  • Supporting Global Supply Chain Management in tactical S&OP (production planning), including preparing and analyzing relevant data
  • Executing stock seed planning to meet production and processing needs
  • Driving availability for main processing entities by ensuring timely seed movement between production areas and processing facilities
  • Owning Operational S&OP for regional and global availability
  • Conducting monthly availability follow-ups and communicating status to stakeholders
  • Monitoring usability data closely to keep information current and actionable
  • Chairing the Operational Supply Review Meeting, covering global availability (regional and SF/ST levels), financial impacts, red/black stock, seed production plan effects, and safety stock allocation
  • Managing global inventory in accordance with supply chain strategies and policies (e.g., country-of-origin and phytosanitary requirements)
  • Setting and managing global priorities for seed supply and processing
  • Monitoring execution of the Global Trial Flow against the agreed framework to ensure lead times are met
  • Functionally steering and collaborating closely with Regional Supply Planners
  • Completing administrative tasks required to execute drop-shipments and Processing POs


If you...

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Agronomy, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
  • Have 8-10 years of experience in supply chain, preferably with exposure to international operations
  • Possess advanced skills in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and supply chain management
  • Understand the financial aspects of supply chain decisions and inventory management
  • Bring a proactive, availability-driven mindset with a strong supply chain orientation
  • Communicate very effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Work well as a team player and collaborate across functions
  • Are able to travel up to 5%, domestically and internationally.
