Global Segment Marketing Manager, Dairy

About the Role

The Global Segment Marketing Manager, Dairy develops and executes customer-focused global marketing strategies that accelerate growth across Neogen's Dairy segment. This role serves as the strategic marketing leader for the segment, translating customer needs, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and business priorities into differentiated positioning, go-to-market strategies, demand-generation programs, and sales enablement tools.

Working closely with Portfolio, Commercial, Regional Marketing, and other cross-functional partners, this role connects global strategy with regional execution to strengthen Neogen's position in the Dairy market and drive measurable commercial results.

Key Responsibilities
Segment Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and maintain the global marketing strategy and annual marketing plan for the Dairy segment, including budgets, priorities, and KPIs
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, industry developments, and emerging opportunities to identify growth priorities
  • Define target customer segments, personas, applications, buying journeys, and value propositions
  • Translate business objectives into clear segment marketing priorities, strategies, and initiatives in partnership with Portfolio and Commercial teams
  • Use customer, market, and competitive insights to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic decision-making

Positioning, Messaging & Demand Generation
  • Develop compelling global positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to priority customer segments and applications
  • Create and maintain segment-level messaging architecture and ensure consistency across regions, channels, and customer touchpoints
  • Develop integrated global marketing campaigns designed to generate awareness, engagement, qualified demand, pipeline, and revenue growth
  • Establish campaign strategies, target audiences, channels, content requirements, and measurement plans
  • Monitor campaign and commercial performance and continuously optimize programs based on performance data, customer insights, and business results
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to adapt global campaigns and messaging to local market needs while maintaining overall strategic consistency

Sales Enablement & Commercial Alignment
  • Develop compelling, differentiated, and easy-to-use marketing and sales enablement tools that support commercial teams throughout the customer journey
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial leadership to ensure marketing strategies and programs address customer needs and support business priorities
  • Participate in strategic customer meetings, industry events, and customer discovery activities as appropriate
  • Establish strong feedback loops between Marketing and Sales regarding leads, opportunities, customer needs, and campaign effectiveness
  • Incorporate commercial and customer feedback into ongoing segment strategy and marketing programs

Global & Regional Leadership
  • Serve as the global marketing subject-matter expert and champion for the Dairy segment
  • Establish a consistent global segment strategy while partnering with regional teams to tailor execution to local market conditions and customer needs
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to regional marketing partners to support effective execution
  • Share best practices, customer insights, market intelligence, and successful programs across regions and segments
  • Promote alignment across Global Marketing, Regional Marketing, Portfolio, Commercial, and other cross-functional stakeholders

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience developing and executing B2B marketing strategies and programs
  • Experience with B2B customer journeys, demand generation, content strategy, digital marketing, and sales enablement
  • Experience translating customer, market, and competitive insights into marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage customers and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • Marketing experience within food safety, industrial, life sciences, manufacturing, or another technical environment
  • Experience developing or executing global marketing strategies
  • Experience partnering with regional marketing and commercial teams across multiple markets
  • Experience developing segment-level positioning, messaging, value propositions, or go-to-market strategies
  • Experience using marketing and commercial performance data to evaluate and optimize programs
