Job Title: Global Sales Strategy Analyst, Automotive

Location: Position is open to local candidates in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX. No relocation is offered for this position.

Role Summary

NXP is seeking a Global Sales Strategy Analyst – Automotive to join the Global Sales Strategy team. Reporting to the Global Sales Chief of Staff, this role operates as a strategic engine within the Global Sales Strategy Automotive Team to drive sales enablement programs, facilitate go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, and support long-term automotive strategy workstreams.

This is an early-career role designed for a professional with a strong technical or business academic foundation who excels at the intersection of operational execution and strategic analysis — and who brings native fluency with modern AI tools to accelerate their work. It is a strong fit for candidates with consulting, corporate strategy, or BizOps backgrounds (including pre-MBA Analyst/Associate level) looking to take ownership of execution inside a global commercial organization. The role offers high-visibility engagement with NXP's senior sales leadership and a comprehensive vantage point into the electrification, ADAS, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement Orchestration: Execute the global automotive sales training framework. This includes coordinating GTM webinars with Product Line experts and ensuring technical content is effectively synthesized for sales execution.

  • Strategic Project Management: Support the development and execution of automotive strategy workstreams by tracking milestones, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and ensuring project deliverables are met.

  • Executive Support & Analysis: Synthesize complex market data into high-quality presentations, briefing materials, and reports for the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Senior Management Team (SMT).

  • GTM Tactical Support: Provide analytical support for automotive go-to-market strategies, focusing on market trends, competitive shifts, and regional requirements.

  • Sustainability & Geodiversity Initiatives: Support the Global Sales Chief of Staff on geodiversity strategy and sustainability customer engagement, translating evolving market requirements into actionable sales support.

  • Program Execution: Drive the completion of ad-hoc strategy projects, ensuring deliverables from cross-functional stakeholders are accurate, professional, and on schedule.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Structured Strategic Thinking: Frames ambiguous problems with hypothesis-driven analyses, synthesizes information from complex fast-moving markets, and develops clear, actionable recommendations.

  • AI-Forward Working Style: Native fluency with AI tools (e.g., LLM-based research, analysis, drafting, and content generation) and a demonstrated ability to use them to accelerate output and sharpen analysis without compromising rigor.

  • Operational Excellence: A detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple high-priority workstreams and cross-functional programs in parallel.

  • Stakeholder Facilitator: Capable of working effectively across organizational boundaries, navigating the intersection of senior sales leaders and technical experts.

  • Technical Literacy: Demonstrates a strong understanding of the automotive semiconductor landscape and the ability to grasp emerging technology trends.

  • Professional Communicator: Able to communicate clearly and prepare concise, data-driven materials suitable for executive-level decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Business, or a related field — strong academic record from a leading institution preferred.

  • Advanced Academic Background: Advanced degree (MS, MBA) a plus, not required.

  • Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience in the automotive or semiconductor industry (Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Strategy) — or equivalent experience as a Business Analyst/Associate in management consulting at a top-tier firm with technology, automotive, or industrial sector exposure.

  • Analytical Skillset: Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous commercial analysis and build logical frameworks for complex problems.

  • AI Tooling Fluency: Proficient with current generation AI tools for research, analysis, and content creation; treats AI as a default part of the workflow rather than a novelty.

  • Execution Track Record: Proven experience in program coordination or project management where attention to detail and timeline adherence were critical.

  • Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical data into commercial insights.
