Join Our Team as a Global Products R&D Manager ADS at Epiroc! The mission of the role is to ensure that the Global ADS product portfolio remains competitive and market leading, short and long term, by delivering safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-efficient products. This to be achieved through: • Ensuring strong product ownership and portfolio governance aligned with SRD strategy • Securing full product compliance and regulatory requirements • Driving product reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness • Strengthening global collaboration and synergies • Optimizing and leveraging the global footprint • Building robust ADS competence, succession, and future leadership Work Location: Garland, TX Work Type: Hybrid This role will require 10-20% travel - National & International Key Responsibilities • Hold technical ownership of complete products, securing compliance with safety, legal, and market requirements, including technical file completeness. • Lead and develop ADS Global Products R&D, ensuring competitive, compliant, and reliable products across their full lifecycle. • Drive engineering support and execution across Marketing, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Technical Service, PC's and other divisions. • Establish and maintain CPI Project Plans that are in resource balance, aligned with Product Plans and Global Strategy. • Own and execute portfolio delivery, CPI, and functional development in line with product plans and global strategy. • Secure efficient handling of field quality, product safety cases, and Pre-MO/MO support, with high priority and short throughput time. • Lead global operational excellence, continuous improvement, and efficiency, taking full ownership of processes and methods. This to be done together and shared within the Global Products R&D Management team. Safety & Sustainability • Ensure full compliance with product safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including CE-marking and market-specific obligations. • Lead a proactive and reactive Product Safety way of working, embedded in daily operations and decision-making. • Build and sustain a strong "Safety Always" mindset, with clear accountability and follow-up. • Integrate sustainability into product development and CPI, including design for recycling and re-use, aligned with Epiroc Sustainability ambitions. Leadership • Act as a role model for Epiroc values, integrity, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork. • Safeguard that everyone in the organization respects and lives up to the values of Epiroc • Lead, coach, and develop the ADS Global Products R&D organization, building accountability, engagement, and a strong reliability mindset and improvement culture. • Drive a culture where decisions are fact-based and value-driven, considering effort and risk. • Implement a proactive attitude in the organization to limit surprises and deviations • Continuously encourage and support your team to always challenge and try to find better ways • Build and maintain strong product and application knowledge across the ADS Global Products R&D organization. • Secure robust competence and succession, attracting, developing, and retaining key talents. • As a member of the Global Products R&D Management team you are together with the team responsible for entire R&D Global Products R&D result. Growth and Strategy • Be active part of the development and execution of the Global Products R&D Strategy. • Drive product reliability improvements through structured development, field feedback, and data-driven prioritization. • Support integration and maturation of new or evolving products in line with global R&D principles. Operational Excellence • Ensure adherence to global R&D processes, allowing documented local adaptations when they improve efficiency and quality. • Drive disciplined CPI execution, focusing on cost, quality, reliability, lead time, and warranty reduction. • Define, follow up, and act on relevant KPIs for product performance and R&D efficiency. • Optimize resources, competencies, and ways of working to deliver predictable outcomes and continuous improvement. • Act as the primary R&D interface for ADS product-related topics toward other functions. • In collaboration with the Global Products R&D Management team, lead global operational excellence, continuous improvement, and efficiency, taking full ownership of processes and methods. • Optimize our global footprint (PCs, CCs) in terms of projects, resources, and competencies. • Develop Best Cost Country sourcing to become a natural part of development processes • Strong commitment to reduce complexity (incl. article numbers) and implement modularization in our core portfolios in a seamless co-operation with Sourcing, Marketing and Operations. • Lead and drive continuous improvements in R&D with a special focus on the following areas: • Product cost reduction • Product quality improvement / increase reliability / reduce warranty • Lead time reduction • Variance minimization • Flexibility to cope with market demands Your profile You bring senior leadership experience from global R&D organizations and demonstrate a strong "Better Together" mindset.
