Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Global Product Manager, Fluid Power Actuators, to lead and grow Bray's portfolio of pneumatic and hydraulic actuation solutions. This role is responsible for defining global product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and driving profitable growth across industrial markets by aligning customer needs, engineering capabilities, and commercial execution.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of fluid power actuation systems, strong business acumen, and proven experience leading global product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Lifecycle Management
  • Own the global lifecycle for fluid power actuator product lines, including hydraulic and pneumatic actuators and related accessories.
  • Lead stage-gate development processes from concept through commercialization, driven by customer requirements, application needs, and market trends.
  • Define product roadmaps, value propositions, and differentiation strategies aligned with Bray's actuation and controls portfolio.
  • Screen, initiate, and prioritize new product development and partnership opportunities using Bray's Product Development Process (PDP).
  • Develop and execute global product launch plans, including technical documentation, training materials, and marketing content.

Product Growth & Strategy
  • Champion the growth of Bray's fluid power actuator business globally.
  • Develop and execute multi-year product and market strategies to expand adoption across key industries and applications.
  • Manage product line budgets, investment cases, and business plans to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, standardization, and modularization to improve competitiveness and scalability.
  • Conduct annual product review and develop strategy recommendations.

Sales Support & Business Development
  • Partner with global sales teams to develop effective sales tools, positioning, and application guidance.
  • Provide technical leadership and product expertise in customer engagements, key accounts, and strategic projects.
  • Lead global product training programs to improve sales effectiveness and technical confidence.
  • Support channel partners and regional teams with application-specific solutions and competitive positioning.

Market Analysis & Competitive Benchmarking
  • Conduct ongoing market research to understand customer requirements, emerging technologies, and industry trends in fluid power actuation.
  • Benchmark Bray's hydraulic and pneumatic actuator offerings against competitors to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Translate market insights into actionable product enhancements and innovation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to align product strategy with execution.
  • Serve as the primary voice of the customer within cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Contribute to inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain initiatives related to fluid power actuator products.

Financial Management & Reporting
  • Prepare quarterly sales, margin, and profitability analysis for fluid power actuator product lines.
  • Provide input on pricing strategy, cost structures, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Support forecasting, demand planning, and long-term capacity planning.

Core Competencies & Skills Required:
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in the industrial valve actuation and automation industry, with proven product management and business development experience (8+ years).
    • Strong technical experience with fluid power actuation and control accessories.
    • Demonstrated success in driving business growth across industrial markets.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a Business-related field.
  • Technical & Communication Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand industrial valve materials.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
    • Capable of expressing opinions openly while managing conflict and moving the team toward problem resolution.

    • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead business growth initiatives.
