The Opportunity

Stellantis is seeking a Global Planning Manager to help guide Jeep and Ram vehicle programs from early planning through development, launch, and ongoing production. This role will specifically be responsible for the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Ram Dakota and potentially other mid-sized vehicles within this category.

The Global Planning team manages the major business decisions, development milestones, and financial performance of a vehicle line throughout its lifecycle. The team works across product planning, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, quality, software, and marketing organizations to ensure that vehicle programs have a clear strategy, viable business cases, and an executable plan.

Each vehicle-segment planning team includes a Global Program Director ("PD"), a Program Director Delegate ("PDD"), and Global Planning Managers. Together, the team prepares and leads vehicle program decisions for leadership review and approval at defined planning and development milestones.

This position is within the Segment Pickup Truck ("SPUT") team, which is responsible for Stellantis body-on-frame vehicles. The role is based in Auburn Hills, MI and is classified as a Senior Professional position.

What You'll Do
  • Develop clear, concise presentations and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Lead regional initiatives and special projects on behalf of the PD and PDDs.
  • Partner with program leadership to define vehicle scope, expected sales volumes, pricing and market assumptions, investment requirements, and variable costs.
  • Support early product-strategy and long-range planning reviews by developing background analyses and initial recommendations before formal program approval.
  • Evaluate inputs from cross-functional teams for completeness, accuracy, supporting rationale, and overall business reasonableness.
  • Coordinate with portfolio planning, brand, product marketing, technology planning, software, and other business functions.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to assess market segments, competitors, customer demographics, and relevant market trends.
  • Collaborate with advanced engineering, vehicle engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams to establish the key technical and industrial assumptions for each program.
  • Partner with the Vehicle Economics Office ("VEMO") to develop vehicle business cases, consolidate investment requirements, align financial assumptions, and track total program cost.
  • Manage the agendas, presentation materials, and follow-up actions for vehicle-segment leadership reviews and program steering committee meetings.
  • Document decisions, action items, owners, and timing following key meetings.
  • Monitor program health throughout development, launch, and ongoing production, with particular attention to milestone achievement, financial performance, risks, and required leadership decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, business, or finance, and at least six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts, assess supporting information, and translate findings into clear business implications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including experience developing concise materials for senior executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to structure complex subjects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to collaborate across functions to identify and advance new opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree, preferably in business or engineering management.
  • Experience with automotive product development, governance, or other structured stage-gate decision-making processes.
  • Experience in product management, product planning, or program management.
  • Strong quantitative and financial skills, along with sound business judgment.
  • Professional experience in the automotive or broader industrial sector, or in management consulting.
