Job Description Summary
The Gas Power Configuration Management (CM) organization is responsible for transforming product requirements as well as engineering design intent into actionable product definition. This product definition includes logical bill of material (BOM) product structure and product features (Marketing/Configuration Features). We also manage project documentation needs, internally and externally and collect and organize the document configuration.

This position is for Document Management Category Owner within Gas Power’s Engineering tool set related to the execution of projects, defining how we plan, structure and execute internal and external document delivery (standards and customer specific).

Job Description

As the Document Management Category Owner, you will serve as the strategic lead for the organization’s end-to-end (W2W) documentation lifecycle. You are responsible for ensuring that critical business documentation processes drive standardization, consistent structuring and flow through the process and areoptimized for accessibility. You will bridge the gap between operational needs, technical systems, and regulatory requirements to drive standardized processes that enhance productivity and mitigate information risk.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • W2W Process Stewardship: Own the entire lifecycle of documents from the planning and structuring flow to creation and ingestion to archiving and destruction. Map, document, and continuously improve processes to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce document standards, including metadata schemas, naming conventions, and security classifications. Ensure adherence to global compliance standards, data privacy laws, and industry-specific regulations.
  • System Optimization: Act as the business owner for the Document Management System (PLM). Partner with IT to define system requirements, oversee software updates, and champion the implementation of new tool platforms and automation tools to support process needs.
  • Performance Management: Establish KPIs for process and documentation health (e.g., compliance, standard usage (direct release), clear requirements and scoping (zero non applicable documents), structure and content quality, time-to-retrieve, storage utilization). Analyze data to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Change Management & Training: Lead change management to ensure global adoption of document standards. Develop training materials and conduct workshops for functional teams on effective document management practices.  This also includes defining and leading Kaizen events, conducting Gemba, developing Standard Work, creating, and maintaining quality documents, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Audit Support: Serve as the primary subject matter expert during internal and external audits, providing evidence of process control and document integrity
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for global teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.  Coordinate with commercial, internal engineering teams, supply chain and projects and other document management teams (Customer Drawing Plan, Internal Documentation, Supplier Documentation and Operational and Maintenance Manuals).
  • Strategic Communication: Prepare and present technical data and status updates to leadership (EB+), providing actionable recommendations for scheduling and business strategy
  • Accountability: Timely solve any conflict among the different organizations, involving the scope of Document Structuring applicable to the different technologies.

•    Optimisation des systèmes : Agir en tant que responsable métier du Système de Gestion Documentaire (PLM). •    Gestion de la performance : Définir des indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) pour la santé des processus et de la documentation (ex: conformité, utilisation des normes, clarté des exigences, structure et qualité du contenu, temps de récupération, utilisation du stockage). Analyser les données pour fournir des recommandations exploitables à la direction.


•    Gestion du changement et formation : Mener la conduite du changement pour garantir l'adoption mondiale des normes documentaires. Développer des supports de formation et animer des ateliers pour les équipes fonctionnelles. •    Responsabilité : Résoudre rapidement tout conflit entre les différentes organisations concernant la portée de la structuration documentaire applicable aux différentes technologies.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
