Job Description:The Global HSE Analytics & Systems Solutions Manager plays a critical role in strengthening how we use data, insights, and digital solutions to advance HSE performance across our businesses.
In this global individual contributor role, you will lead HSE performance analytics, reporting, data governance, and systems solutions across Petcare, Food, and Snacking. You will ensure that HSE data and systems are reliable, effective, and positioned to support informed decision-making at the site, regional, segment, and enterprise levels.
You will work closely with HSE leaders, regional and site teams, Mars Digital Technology, Industrial Engineering, MSE, Sustainability, and other key partners to translate complex data into actionable insights, strengthen system capabilities, and shape the future HSE digital roadmap.
This role reports directly to the Petcare and Food HSE Vice President, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Snacking HSE Vice President. The position may be based in North America or Europe.
What are we looking for?- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- Experience working with business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, digital systems, or enterprise technology solutions.
- Strong project and program management skills, including experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with data collection, data quality, validation, integration, governance, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing or operational environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Enablon, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, database administration, data modeling, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
- HSE or EHS experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, underlying contributors, and opportunities beyond the immediate data.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders and operational teams.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder-management skills, particularly in a global, cross-functional, and highly matrixed environment.
- High level of integrity, rigor, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills.
- Experience working in an international environment is preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
What will be your key responsibilities?HSE Analytics and Performance Reporting- Design, implement, and lead supply enterprise HSE performance measurement, reporting, and analytical processes.
- Ensure HSE data is collected accurately, completely, and on time across participating segments and functions.
- Establish and maintain processes for data quality, cleansing, validation, and issue resolution.
- Manage the integration of HSE data across segments, regions, sites, and supporting functions.
- Analyze HSE performance, incidents, trends, and key performance indicators to identify insights, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate data and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for HSE leadership and business stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver recurring dashboards, performance decks, and targeted analyses for segment HSE Vice Presidents, regional HSE leaders, site HSE teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate the One Mars quarterly HSE report and provide HSE data for internal and external reporting requirements.
HSE Systems, Solutions, and Governance - Serve as a central administrator and subject matter expert for global HSE management systems and supporting platforms, including Enablon, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and related tools.
- Support the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of HSE systems and digital solutions.
- Lead or coordinate cross-segment HSE system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Ensure the reliability, usability, and integrity of HSE systems and the data maintained within them.
- Develop governance, standards, processes, training, and user support to promote consistent system adoption and effective use.
- Support sites and regions with HSE system implementation, adoption, troubleshooting, and ongoing sustainment.
- Lead and coordinate the HSE Systems Subject Matter Expert network.
- Support the Mars Supply HSE Management System implementation and audit program in partnership with the HSE Processes and Audit Program Manager.
- Identify evolving business needs and recommend system enhancements or new digital solutions aligned with the broader HSE digital roadmap. Promote alignment and simplification across systems implemented at the site, business, segment, and enterprise levels.
Stakeholder and Community Leadership - Serve as a key point of contact for the global HSE community on HSE systems administration, reporting, and analytics.
- Build strong relationships with HSE leaders and teams across segments, regions, and sites.
- Partner with Mars Digital Technology, Industrial Engineering, MSE, Sustainability, and other functions to support HSE system implementation and sustainment.
- Manage relationships with third-party technology providers and contractors as needed.
- Maintain regular engagement with the HSE Leadership Team and segment and regional HSE leaders.
- Influence decisions and drive alignment across a global organization without direct reporting authority.
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
