About the Role We are looking for a Global HRIS Workday Lead to support the management, optimization, and advancement of our global Workday platform. This role will provide hands-on functional expertise, lead Workday projects and workstreams, and support the development and delivery of the Workday roadmap and governance model. Working closely with Global HRIS management, this role will help ensure Workday remains scalable, secure, reliable and aligned with Quaker Houghton objectives and priorities.
This role will partner with HR Operations, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Finance, IT, Compliance, Payroll and business stakeholders to translate their needs into effective and sustainable Workday solutions.
What will you do? - Support the development and delivery of the Workday roadmap and governance model, based on HR and business priorities.
- Provide hands-on functional expertise across Workday Core HCM, Security, Reporting, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Learning, Performance, Talent, Recruiting, and Benefits.
- Partner with the integrations team to define functional requirements and data mappings, complete the required Workday functional configuration, support testing and issue resolution.
- Partner with business stakeholders, HR Operations, and HR COEs to translate requirements into standardized, compliant and scalable Workday solutions.
- Lead Workday projects and enhancements from requirements and impact assessment through configuration, testing, deployment and post-production support.
- Provide Workday guidance for complex HR and business initiatives.
- Share Workday knowledge and best practices across the team to strengthen overall HRIS capability.
- Coordinate Workday releases and support reporting, functional support, data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex system and process issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Coordinate with technical teams and external partners to deliver solutions, manage risks, and resolve issues.
- Complete and validate mass data changes using Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), ensuring accuracy and appropriate controls.
- Design, build and maintain Workday custom reports, dashboards and calculated fields.
- Create and maintain process documentation and team training materials.
What Are We Looking For? - Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of HRIS experience, including 3+ years as a senior Workday functional lead, product owners, or SME.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Core HCM, plus hands-on experience in at least 3 of the following modules: Reporting, Compensation, Security, Learning, Performance, Talent, Recruiting, and Benefits.
- Experience with U.S. compliance requirements and business reporting, including headcount, turnover and other HR metrics.
- Experience supporting large scale and complex business initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Workday integrations and data loading tools (EIBs, Web Services, API and Workday Studio).
- Experience with U.S. workforce compliance reporting and developing business reports including headcount and turnover reporting.
- Experience in applying structured project management practices to define project scope, establishes timelines, manage risk and dependencies, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Advanced reporting skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables charts, and the validation and reconciliation of large data sets.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management skills, and ability to influence others.
- Workday certifications in one or more functional areas is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale HR programs and transformation projects.
