Working Location: Tokyo, JapanWorkplace Flexibility: HybridJob DescriptionThe Global HR Business Partner serves as strategic advisor and partner for Global Division Heads and their global management teams. This is a key leadership position on the global division leadership team and is responsible for developing and driving HR strategy in alignment and support of the Division global business strategy and priorities. This highly experienced HR professional is the chief people leader for the global division who is responsible for driving division organizational performance through effective talent management and succession planning, capability development, and development of a high-performance culture. This position will be responsible for implementing enterprise-wide HR strategies that support division strategies and ensure alignment and prioritization with global HR Centers of Excellence. This position will lead and develop the Global HR business partner team, including Region HR Business Partners supporting the divisions.
Job DutiesStrategic HR Partnering:
- Collaborating with global division leaders to understand their priorities and translate them into effective HR strategies and initiatives that are well-executed across the division.
- Executive coach and advisor to global leadership team.
People Leader:
- Lead global HR business partner team supporting division, including region HR business partners leads for divisions. Responsible for global budget.
- Develop HR business partner capabilities and set direction for the global team.
Talent Management:
- Drive divisional talent and succession planning worldwide and subsequent actions to support outcomes.
- Develop and lead global talent initiatives in alignment with business leaders and regions overseeing global talent movement.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management and L&D for global division.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support acquisition of key talent for critical roles.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management:
- Design and optimize org structures to support operationalization of business strategies.
- Develop and lead global organizational change efforts including restructuring, M&A, and culture transformation.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilizes HR data and metrics to analyse workforce trends, assess program effectiveness and inform business decision-making.
- Leverage predictive analytics to identify trends, assess risks and develop proactive HR interventions to drive long-term business solutions.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment within the division, promoting employee engagement, and develop and drive initiatives that support the company's culture and values.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including managers, employees and external partners across the globe.
- Effectively navigate complexities of highly matrixed global organization and drive solutions to complex issues.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across divisions and geographies.
Job QualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum of 18 years progressive HR business partnering and leadership experience with at least 10 years in senior leadership and/or executive level strategic roles managing regional and global HR teams.
- Minimum of 10 years experience working in HR in MedTech or similar industry with emphasis on regulated environment.
- Broad-based experience as HR Business Partner supporting local, regional and global client groups with hands-on leadership experience working in matrixed, global, complex organizations.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise and thorough knowledge of strategic HR business partnering, talent development and management, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, HR policy, workforce analytics, global/regional employment related laws and other areas of HR.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $215,051.00 - $344,081.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
