Global Events and Sponsorships Lead
The Position
As the Global Events and Sponsorships Lead, you will define, lead and deliver Seequent's global approach to events, sponsorships and partnerships, elevating audience experiences, strengthening market presence and supporting Seequent's positioning as a category leader. You will own the end-to-end strategy and delivery of Tier 1 (global/corporate) events and sponsorships, while establishing the standards, governance and measurement frameworks that enable regional teams to execute Tier 2 and Tier 3 activity effectively and consistently. Through clear decision rights, scalable ways of working and robust performance measurement, you will ensure high-quality, brand-aligned execution and measurable outcomes that support strategic business and go-to-market priorities.
You will champion smarter ways of working through scalable processes, standardisation, and decentralised enablement, continuously enhancing the experience for both attendees and Seequent colleagues. You will also evaluate performance, surface actionable insights and share best practice to drive continuous improvement.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Develop and continuously refine a bold global event strategy designed to elevate Seequent's brand and drive market differentiation. Applying insights from the latest market trends, identify and champion key opportunities that will maximise our strategic impact and achieve business objectives.
• Lead the full lifecycle of our high-impact, brand-led (Tier 1) global events, overseeing concept development, planning, execution, vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management to deliver exceptional brand experiences and business impact.
• Formalise and evolve Seequent's sponsorship and partnership framework, including defining enterprise criteria, governance, measurement, negotiation and management of global initiatives, while enabling regional teams to activate regional sponsorships aligned to global standards.
• Evolve and maintain a standardised measurement framework that evaluate brand and commercial outcomes, lead post-event and post-sponsorship reviews, and provide clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders to inform future investment decisions.
• Champion global alignment, cross functional collaboration and customer experience. Act as the central expert and strategic partner for global events, sponsorships, and partnerships. Provide strategic guidance, best practices, and frameworks to regional and field marketing teams.
• Manage significant global event, sponsorship, and partnership budgets with precision, ensuring fiscal responsibility, optimized resource allocation, and maximum strategic impact and ROI.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• 7+ years of experience leading global events, sponsorships, partnerships, or related strategic initiatives with a proven track record of delivering high-impact outcomes.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling cross-channel event, sponsorship and partnership strategies that drive measurable results and market leadership.
• Experience managing complex global programs across diverse international markets and cultures, coupled with exceptional project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, tight deadlines, and significant budgets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including experience establishing KPIs, measuring ROI, evaluating performance, and leveraging data-driven insights to inform future strategies and investments.
• A proactive, adaptable, and resilient mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the confidence to challenge the status quo to achieve better outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (master's preferred).
