Full Job Description
About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly hands-on Global Controller to design, institutionalize, and lead a world-class global accounting function across multiple jurisdictions. This individual will own the integrity of the Company's accounting environment, establish consistent policies and reporting standards across all global entities, and build the processes, controls, and documentation required to support sophisticated audit scrutiny and continued growth.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating at the strategic and detailed level, with the ability to design a scalable accounting infrastructure while independently assessing complex accounting issues, challenging existing practices, and driving issues through resolution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the global accounting function and serve as the senior accounting authority across all global entities.
  • Design and maintain a scalable global accounting architecture with consistent policies, processes, account structures, and reporting standards required by all global locations.
  • Independently assess accounting practices, financial statement balances, and key processes across entities within the first 30 days; identifying risks and driving issues through resolution.
  • Own the global accounting policy framework and serve as the technical accounting authority for complex and non-routine matters under US GAAP.
  • Oversee accounting across local jurisdictions, including IFRS and Swiss statutory requirements, and ensure appropriate reconciliation to US GAAP for consolidated reporting.
  • Take a proactive and hands on approach to establish and continuously improve key accounting and financial reporting controls, including reconciliations, journal-entry review, close controls, intercompany controls, and segregation of duties.
  • Own the global close process, including entity-level review, multi-entity consolidation, foreign currency translation, intercompany accounting, and eliminations.
  • Lead consolidated financial reporting under US GAAP, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, and decision-useful.
  • Drive consistency and alignment in accounting practices across all global entities and jurisdictions.
  • Lead the accounting integration of newly acquired entities, including opening balance sheets, purchase accounting, chart-of-accounts alignment, policy alignment, and consolidation into group reporting.
  • Lead PCAOB audit readiness and oversee the parent company and independent subsidiary audits, ensuring consistent execution and timely resolution of accounting and audit issues.
  • Proactively identify accounting and reporting risks and translate findings into prioritized remediation plans with clear owners and timelines.
  • Build and develop a high-performing global accounting organization with clear roles, strong review discipline, and appropriate accountability.

Role Requirements:

  • CPA required.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and detailed levels. This is both a big picture and hands-on role.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a multi-entity, global, or public-company environment.
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, consolidation, foreign currency accounting, and technical accounting; IFRS experience is a plus.
  • Experience in asset management or broader financial services; digital asset or crypto industry experience is a significant plus.
  • M&A and post-acquisition integration experience is a plus.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence leaders outside of direct reporting lines.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, create structure where it does not yet exist, and drive improvement with urgency and consistency.

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 + Equity
  • Equity compensation as a component of all offers
  • Health insurance, including dental and vision plans
  • Health, Dependent Care and Commuter Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Life insurance; short- and long-term disability plans
  • Company-funded 401(k) plan, no matching required

  • Company-wide winter break for most roles
