Position Summary: The Global Construction Operations Manager provides direction and develops degreed technical engineers, supply chain coordinators, documentation coordinators and third party purchasing. The Global Construction Operations Manager also works closely with Warehouse Operations and is responsible for accounts payable and receivable. The Global Construction Operations Manager is responsible for supporting Swagelok's end customer and distributor network through product expertise, corporate and service group supply chain flow, application knowledge, systems experience, and relationship influence. Effectively develops clear and specific department objectives for targeted opportunities and assures the successful execution of corporate initiatives as defined. Leads staff to achieve customer solutions through coordination with service, marketing, planning, finance, warehouse and operations. Directs resources towards the application of standard and advanced techniques to ensure the customer experience is continuously improved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Development, management, and execution of inventory strategies exceeding $10MM value
- Communicate strategies, plans, and status to executive leadership teams
- Communicate trends in metrics and daily activities to help guide the company's strategic direction
- Subject matter expert for SAP B1 Enterprise Resource Planning business system
- Leads annual and ongoing Global Construction forecasting along with internal and external communication and planning
- Influences corporate raw material, component inventory, and end item production and inventory strategies specific to Global Construction project needs
- Oversees Global Construction accounts payable and receivables
- Develops the technical capabilities and leadership competencies of the group
- Indirect leadership of warehouse associates and processes
- Responsible for the performance management process with each direct report, including performance planning, mid-year reviews, year-end reviews, coaching and feedback. Influences compensation decisions for direct reports during merit review process.
- Advises team on how to solve technical and customer related problems and can lead larger team efforts which involve multi-departmental or interdisciplinary efforts
- Drive continuous improvements by planning and implementing changes that meet departmental objectives. Conduct departmental meetings that focus on building and maintaining relationships with customers, distributors, and internal functional areas.
- Drive customer satisfaction across Sales and Services Centers, and when applicable, customers of Swagelok product
- Ensure team is properly trained on all available tools and systems and resourced appropriately
- Review and approve engineering change requests, returns for credit, and order cancellations. Review and approve/deny escalated customer pricing requests.
- Collaborate with other leaders to improve processes that are dependent on other internal departments. (Ex. accounts receivable, documentation, customer pricing and specification review, etc.)
- Develops and promotes the utilization of and adherence to corporate practices (ex. Project Management, Product Quality Planning, Time Management, etc.) Bottom of Form
- As a leader, you are expected to know, enforce, and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies.

Scope: Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Required: - A bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or production planning environments
- 5+ years leading scheduling, distribution planning, and/or production control environments
- Experience working with a global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business system.
- Applies experience and knowledge at an organization level
- Demonstrates the ability to complete major and complex projects
- Strong understanding of current supply chain
- Willing to make tough/unpopular decisions
- Manages multiple projects or assignments simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent computer and typical office software skills
- Possess the ability to interact with a variety of diverse people in a complex environment.
- Demonstrates innovative thinking and sound judgment. Broad knowledge of several product families.
Preferred: - Bachelor's degree
