Join Our Team as a Global Business Development Mgr. Construction Tunneling & YP at Epiroc!

In line with our RGU Business Line mission, your main goal will be to grow operating profit, while growing the topline and master the internal efficiencies. You will develop and grow the business for construction and mining in all its dimensions with responsibility of coordinating internal and external stakeholders and seeking new business opportunities to grow the Construction, Tunneling and Yieldpoint business globally.

Work Type: Remotely based, require 40% business travel

Work Location: Candidate can be based anywhere in the US or Canada

Specific tasks and main responsibilities
  • Lead strategic marketing and go-to-market initiatives for Construction, Tunneling, and Yieldpoint globally, including campaign initiation and execution.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, share best practices, and drive execution of action plans to grow revenue and market share.
  • Drive new product launches end-to-end with Business Line management, including launch planning, follow-up, and market adoption.
  • Build and steer territory management and business planning: set strategies, support pricing and portfolio decisions, and develop targets and activities with Customer Centers.
  • Support and develop sales channels and dealer networks with Customer Centers through training, quotation support, process governance, and continuous customer satisfaction focus-while ensuring compliance and integrity.
  • Support all strategic marketing activities for Construction and Tunneling, including developing the Yieldpoint business globally.
  • Share best practices, experience, and identify business opportunities; assist in developing and executing action plans.
  • Together with Business Line management, actively drive launch plans for new products and product concepts. Follow up the development of the launch products.
  • Provide the Business Line management with relevant feedback concerning products performance, and about competitor details.
  • Make sure to have the Territory Management plans in place and updated, as this will give the guidelines to set the right strategies to develop and implement business plans to increase revenues, maximize profit across international markets
  • Work closely with Customer centers to lead, support and develop the right sales channel (IDS/DS) Support to develop Dealer Network. To lead Dealer Development, process improvement governance, will have co-responsibility to achieve targets in targeted regions.
  • Together with CC's, develop business plans, sales targets and activities that are relevant for the different countries in the target regions.
  • Ensure compliance with divisional policies and procedures
  • Provide the first level of support for growing market share.
  • Initiate and execute campaigns.
  • Make sure that marketing and sales personnel in the CC's have the relevant product, application, and business training.
  • Strive towards improving customer satisfaction and business relationship
  • Support the Epiroc's Vision by focusing on and continuously promoting and developing a Customer-Value and a Customer Centric Culture.
  • Support the Multibrand business development and go-to. Market strategy in assigned region.
  • Develop and support a spirit of open communication, fairness, non-discrimination, and respect for the individuals in all areas of operation.
  • Interact with other Divisions/EFS/GCR in a constructive, productive, and unselfish way that supports the development of synergies and the consolidated result of Epiroc.
  • Support CC's with expertise and suggestion during quotation.
  • Promote and ensure the values, guidelines and policies laid down in Epiroc way
  • Motivate training and competence development of people.
  • Identify employees with high potential within the Epiroc.
  • Safeguard integrity and transparency of operations, procedures, and legal structure by making sure that FAM is understood and implemented in your group.
  • Provide regular business feedback to relevant stakeholders on business performance, marketing activities, market, and competitor updates, with updated short- and medium-term development action plans.
  • Generate new business by being proactive in identifying new opportunities and promoting new solutions including different type of business model.
  • Support and promote the Epiroc's Core Values: "United in Performance. Inspired by Innovation".
  • Monitor the local activities aligned with fleet management and the race to success strategy and follow up of the R2S KPI's development reported by CC
  • Safe guard proper pricing in the focus regions.
  • Collaborate with product team to decide the right product portfolio for his/her region
  • Follow-up on red flag issues or other Product Company action items that may originate through business review meetings or the CC monthly Red Flag report.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager and Support & contribute to divisional projects (e.g. new product developments, M&A, OEM etc.) and strategies with market intelligence information & market insight
  • Travelling within the area of responsibility based on market/business needs (up to 40% of the working days/year).


Formal knowledge and experience needed
  • Minimum 10+ years' work experience from international marketing in the construction and tunneling industry
  • The candidate should have a university degree, preferably in business or engineering or have acquired similar competence through work experience. Good knowledge of English, verbally and in writing communication skills is essential.
  • Good understanding of business partner management and experience from CC & PC is a plus
  • Strong customer Focus and result oriented
  • Strong change management skills & strategic business thinking
  • Understanding & experience of sales & marketing tools
  • The ideal candidate will be well organized, self-driven and will be able to operate independently. As well as a team player.
  • Strong process orientation and knowledge of Epiroc way of work is beneficiary

The salary for this position is between $110,287.00 - $143,736.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards. This role will also be eligible for 15% variable compensation.
