Job SummaryThe Global Alliance Manager (GAM) is responsible for oversight, growth, and maintenance of select Contract Research Organization or Large Pharma accounts that are designated as Strategic Alliances. The GAM establishes plans to meet client commitments, engage client stakeholders, and grow client accounts. The GAM supports the sales process to ensure LabConnect solutions align with study needs and establishes themselves as a senior point of contact for the client relationship. This individual manages unique client requests, develops service solutions in collaboration with operational departments, supports escalations from the project team, and works as a mentor and guide on strategic alliance relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Liaise with business development and executive leadership to establish and execute client acquisition, growth and retention strategies.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with client decision makers.
- Establish program tools and templates, communication plans, dashboards and meeting materials to drive account planning and governance.
- Tracks and monitors service delivery KPIs.
- Develop bid strategy and align proposal managers/proposal strategy based on client segment
- Present bid strategy to client and with sponsor teams to support study award process
- Monitor delivery of key account documents such as Quality, VM and other initiated RFIs in support of the relationship
- Lead Commercial to Operation PM handover calls upon request and facilitate operational alignment with client team delivery teams
- Participate in building Therapeutic Area specific strategies by meeting with TA leads & BD team and deploying them to specific opportunities to secure awards.
- Mobilizes internal and external teams to translate novel client requirements into creative solutions that advance LabConnect's interests as a 'preferred provider' of central lab services.
- Monitors and assesses the quality and performance of LabConnect teams, and offers feedback for improvement directly to team members and to leadership peers.
- Liaises in a timely manner with team members across LabConnect and across external vendors to monitor and respond to operational changes / issues.
- Represents LabConnect at client and/or investigator meetings, including periodic client visits.
- Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university
- Five or more years central laboratory experience or related clinical experience.
- Must be experienced in customer service and possess excellent organization and interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
Skills and Ability- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry related to various scientific calculations required for clinical trials.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and MS project.
- Must be adept at stress management.
