POSITION SUMMARYThe Global Account Executive (GAE) owns Axiom Space's relationship, pipeline, and growth strategy for an assigned set of international markets, agencies, or institutions. This is a senior individual contributor role: the GAE is the single accountable owner of their accounts, from first customer contact through a signed agreement, and reports directly to the Vice President of Revenue.
International growth opportunities are often negotiated commercial transactions, sole-source agreements, or sovereign partnerships rather than competitive, FAR-based procurements. The GAE qualifies and advances these opportunities from first contact through a signed agreement, applying sound commercial and strategic judgment at every step.
Above all, the GAE builds and maintains a rigorous account plan for each priority market or institution: a fact-based investment thesis, not a relationship summary. That plan maps the full customer sphere of influence, the competitive and political landscape, and a clear path to a signed agreement-and it is the standard by which Axiom's leadership compares one market's opportunity against another.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Own the full customer relationship for assigned markets, agencies, or institutions-not a single point of contact, but the entire sphere of political, technical, and industrial stakeholders who influence the outcome.
- Build and maintain a rigorous account plan for each priority market or account, including the account thesis, market attractiveness, stakeholder and power mapping, competitive landscape, and a credible path to close.
- Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities-human spaceflight missions, station access, research and payload services, and related offerings-against Axiom's Real / Win / Deliver / Worth criteria.
- Develop and execute a customer contact plan and a market-wide influence plan that keep Axiom advantageously positioned ahead of the competition.
- Lead negotiation of commercial agreements, MOUs, letters of intent, and sole-source arrangements, partnering with Legal, Finance, and Trade Compliance.
- Track the political and budget cycles that govern each account and time asks so they land before the decisions and budgets that matter are locked.
- Represent Axiom Space at bilateral meetings, ministerial engagements, conferences, and delegations within the assigned region.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Program, Government Relations, Science, Legal, and Finance to shape and mature opportunities.
- Ensure all international activity complies with export control (ITAR/EAR), anti-corruption (FCPA), and related regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular pipeline forecasts, account status, and market intelligence to Revenue leadership.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
